After he is gone, then what?

Yes, we never disintegrated after Mwalimu left but look how things turned out.

And by no means am I saying we can’t survive without Magufuli.

We will.

But, what will that survival be like?

..when Mwalimu left there used to be "foleni" because of scarcity of basic neccesities.

..then, came Mzee Ruksa and all that was gone.

..so, some can argue that it was better that Mwalimu retired from the presidency.

..Ppl can make all sorts of predictions about how our country will be without Magufuli.

Hata yeye ana madhaifu..... Ila ameamua ku change culture..
Sasa mnaposema atengeneze system mna maana gani labda?
..waTz wote ni madhaifu including Magufuli?

Mnachokisema kiko very imaginary unless sielewi na niko tayari kueleweshwa....
Watu imara wa
toke wapi wakati tunajijua watz wote madhaifu yetu?

..NCHI nayo inatakiwa ifuate kanuni hizo nilizozieleza hapo juu. Kwamba BUNGE, MAHAKAMA, na SEREKALI, vyombo vyote hivyo vinapaswa kutimiza wajibu wake bila kutetereka.

After he is gone, then what?
Misery.

That is a very gloomy picture that you’ve painted.

It’s like there is no hope.

Is there anyone out there who has genuine integrity that can do the job well and restore the public’s trust in government?

I remember Mkapa was sold as such but look how he turned out to be!

The words ‘Mkapa and integrity’ cancel each other out!!!

Sasa mnaposema atengeneze system mna maana gani labda?

Poor you, have you ever heard that 2 wrongs can make 1 right? He needed a blue print b4 embarking on his transformative journey; read my lips; The country needs strong institutions not strong men! diagnosing a problem is one thing BUT making a proper and right prescription to cure the disease is quite another, and that's when patients die!! Now he does not have the institutions in place and he has alienated the people who know the problem inside out!
The days of Robinson Crusoe are long gone! (Hypothetical though); you can be given a place to stand but you can never change the world alone!
Poleni praise team, mnakumbuka shuka asubuhi wakati kumekucha sasa mtabaki kulament aloud!

can you mention here the gains you have realized under Magufuli presidency ?

President Magufuli.

The only one who’s at least trying to do something about it.

It seems like he is fighting it all by his lonesome.

Mkuu,

I respect your ability to reason.

He's tryin to do things most of would say, "Da Fuc do I care"

Ours is a systemic problem.

Bashiru was very candid when he said CCM does not have a grooming process for young leaders. What he left out, out of respect for the elders perhaps, is that even the elders are not properly covered.

I think it was Socrates who said that, those who shun politics are condemned to be governed by their inferiors.

In our case, I have some sympathy towards those who shun political office. I will explain as concisely as I can.

1. We have so many good people who have a lot of potential.

2. We also have a lot of megalomaniacs driven by naked ambition.

3. The way our system of ascending to power is, the good guys will either weed themselves out by not venturing into politics at all, or, if they do venture, will fail miserably due to a lack of the requisite ruthlessness, machination, lack of integrity etc required to rise. If bribing is a requirement to become an MP, the good guy who refuses bribing will never be an MP, will never get a junior cabinet position, which will elevate him to a full cabinet position and national visibility.

The party politics in the opposition is not that much different.

4. As a result, you are almost guaranteed to have all presidential candidates as professional megalomaniacs who are very good at convincing people with some boilerplate bs, but deep down they are so cynical they make Kiranga look like an optimist.

So you are stuck with this abracadabra. Especially because we have an imperial presidency which, in practice, can hardly be checked.

Short of a benevolent Bodhisattva descending on us by some unlikely strike of lightning, we have the proverbial forty years to wander in the desert before we reach the promise land.

And even with that scenario, I am not sure how many months will he endure before "development fatigue" starts to kick in.

For our problems are legion and our resources are meagre.

Looks like it all boils down to corruption.

Corruption is a cancer in our body politic and CCM is 💯 % responsible for it.

That cancer must be removed.

How? I don’t know. But it must be removed if we are to progress.

Hiyo system iko ok.... bunge nk .... Sheria tunazo tena katiba....

Judgement yako inatumia political attitude and biasness mkuu..
Tukosoe cha kukosoa na tusifu cha kusifu

What are those institutions, anyway? What are they made of?
Strong institutions backed up by the constitution, not depending on doing something just to get the president's attention this is the time that most people do something just to he noticed i.e. the praise team leaving out their phone numbers at the bottom of their posts, RC of Tabora, RPC of Dom, are just examples of weak institutions, TTCL's forcing public workers to use TTCL line before further clarifications were made.

If Magufuli is the answer to corruption then I don't know the question. The man is as corrupt as corruption itself.
