I don't think they are planning to change to pay tv. I think they want to collect data of subscribers and location for marketing purposes (advertisements) or alternatively to avoid other digital subscribers (gotv and startimes) from airing their channels and profiting from them without paying for such channels

Very true, the RT changed frequency on SES 5 but bamba has not bothered to rescan. It is blank
