African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Not a must one should use a 22 KHZ switch to combine multiple LNBs on a single receiver.
On my setup I have used a 4 port diseqc as a switch just outside of the house 5m cable length from the receiver,each port connected to 8 port diseqc,two of 8 port diseqc for KU band LNBs been at different places from the C band LNBs on top of a five floors flat 35m from my house. And the rest two of 8 port diseqc for C band on top of my house,2m from the 4 port diseqc (switch). My C-band dishes are at a lower level position than KU-Band dishes to avoiding interference of WiFi network on top of flat. Srt 4922 connected to 1x4X8 diseqc = to 32 LNBs but current using 14 LNBs and working fine. ON srt 4922,4950 or any satellite receiver with DiSEqC1.0/1.1 one can connect 64 LNBs using four 16 port Diseqc.

The first of four port diseqc (switch) of 4,8 or16 port diseqc connection setting on receiver is...
Dish setting:
DiSEqC 1.0 => 1 of 4
DiSEqC 1.1 => 1 of 16 = (1 to 16 LNBs)
Next setting of 4,8 or 16 diseqc port
DiSEqC 1.0 => 2 of 4
DiSEqC 1.1 => 1 of 16 = (1 to 16 LNBs)
Third setting
DiSEqC 1.0 => 3 of 4
DiSEqC 1.1 => 1 of 16 = (1 to 16 LNBs)
Last setting
DiSEqC 1.0 => 4 of 4
DiSEqC 1.1 => 1 of 16 = (1 to 16 LNBs)
Total = 16,32 or 64 LNBs connected through ports depending of your Diseqc.

Hi members, I want help in this, How can I connect my srt decoder to two different tvs and watching different channels at a time, being tired of carrying decoder, extending and folding wire every morning and night.
Unfortunately no way if your interest is to view two different channels. But you can solve the carrying of decoder and folding wires by connecting the decoder to upto 3 TV sets using HDMI out, Video out and RF out lines. However, this will not give you what you want as the 3 TV sets will be showing same channel. Solution is dual or quad lnb + two decoders and you are sorted.
Please house can anyone direct me to the pages with info on how to set openbox v8 with pv keys.
Save the appropriate keys in a clean flash (no virus). The keyword here is appropriate. Insert it in the usb port on the stb. On the remote, press menu, move with the right arrow key till you find "Conditional Access" sub-menu. Hit ok to highlight this sub-menu then key in 6666 on the remote. A "Edit key" will appear. Select that. A menu will appear with all the encryption systems listed, among them pvu. Hit the red button on the remote, corresponding to the "Import" option at the bottom of the GUI. It will prompt you whether you want to import and you press yes. Exit, sit back, relax and enjoy.

Hello members. Anyone who has combined apstar7 & is20 being the primary? Please i would like to know the following:

1. Whats the distance of the secondary lnb from the tip of the primary(is20) lnb and to what direction?
2. Do both run perpendicular to the center of the dish or the secondary tilts abit? Are both parallel to each other?
3. From the front of the dish, where is the secondary lnb?

I struggled over the wkd, my meter never gave any change on the pitch.

I will appreciate your assistance.

Use that setup up is apstar 7@76.5° cband Ku band center @70 down is, is20@68°

I had this suspicion that 130cm offset with scalar ring can nab buds that are close to horizon better than 180cm pf or 240cm pf using C-Band LNB. freddygaz has proved me right. Can someone try Asiasat 5 & 7?

Kimathig do you have tps?

Yes, infact, i can watch channels on both sats just by altering the pf elevation. But its tiring and unprofessional.

I was trying out with a pauxis c+ku lnb, which i dont trust very much. My primary is a Super max 17k lnb.

Which other c band lnb would u recommend for a secondary(Apstar) setup?

DiSEqC 1.0 => 1 of 4 to 4 of 4 is functioning as DiSEqC (switch) instead of 22KHz switch
DiSEqC 1.1 => 1 of 16 to 16 of 16 is feeding multiple LNBs.
