Kindly advice (step-by-step procedure) on how to program / enable an Openbox or Skybox F3 receiver to work with a fully subscribed JSC sports card. Thanks

Good Morning FTA-Nash,

Please note that the smart card slot in openbox/skybox is installed upside down then compared to other sat box card readers which have the chip reader installed facing upwards.

All you need to do is, turn over your JSC sports card with the gold chip facing upwards, reinsert the JSC smart card back into the card slot.

Give your JSC card a few minutes to open your subscribed package.

Please confirm if it has worked.

A good addition is Lig Tv...I could hope the fence n b ua jirani hehe....I hav noticed a number on weak transponders at my end...when there is clouding I loose signal all together!

Over 100 TV channels are open on the package via software patch.

All radio stations open with background live scenery of the ocean.
Very relaxing to listen too and watch.

please note if you have kids and guest, that there are psat-like channels on this package especially at night.

Yes it can.

As long as your receiver is either Srt 4920, Srt 4922 or Srt 4922A, you can use Wizkid Strong Africa or Strong Middle East patch firmware software.

but if you can get 150cm offset dish and good lnb, you are good to go.

I have not had no chance to work with Wiz999 HD receiver but what i know is that you will need to first patch your receiver with the latest Wiz999 HD firmare patch.

You can get the patch software from .ast-micsupport.net

Once you load your receiver with the said firmware, Press Menu and then Press 7999 to activate or deactivate key menu which might most likely appear under installation menu.

If pin 7999 doesn't work, try pin code 9999.

Mr. Kungu, I realy appreciate your work. I managed to patch my wiz999 USB PVR+ but all the Irib channels have no audio. Then where did I go wrong?

Using a 150cm offset bt havin weak signals on transponders like 11534V hosting Animal planet and no lock on 11617V!bt the rest sd channels loud n clear!

A friend of my was receiving that beam sometime back with 150 cm in nai. but at the time, i knew nothing about satelite.

samsom lnb is 0.3 db, that is why. i even stopped using it for fringe reception.
i found that single solution lnb perform better than twin or quad lnb of the same brand. e.g single port stargold lnb perform better than its sister twin. i guess this is attributed to its long neck which you can adjust lengthwise through lnb holder.
it is relatively cheap. kes 400 in lithuli. Give it a try before you go for bigger reflector.

Around 2 months ago I bought a cheap ($48) chinese HD FTA receiver online and since it was my first foray into FTA i had basically been concentrating on scanning and seeing what sats I could get. Recently however I was checking out all the menus and I came accross one for BISS entry and CS. I only know this because I googled most of the terms and they all led to sharing sites and forums (CCCam, NEwCamd etc).

Despite being a newbie I could quickly tell it might not be an entirely above board sort of area so my questions on this are purely for gaining knowledge purposes.

Can somebody in very basic terms tell me how the whole thing works?

In this part of the world (east africa) can it work? eg could one actually watch DSTV via this method?

Any information will be greatly appreciated. It all looks very interesting.

Am getting all the transponders exept the nat geo one....it warms in my meter bt dsnt lock!I trust the quad....it has a long neck coz it locks on the Eastern beam on Yahsat!
