African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Well done and Wellcome to the house of goodies.you can add another lnb down side from the Apstar 7 at the end of lnb feedhorn about 4 inches and add more goodies on (IS-20). Receiving them loud and clear with 180cm prime focus dish and srt 4922 Aljazeera tp Q79% and Sony kix/six Q65% been an addition lnb.

Please advice on how i can nab Apstar 7 and IS- 20. My 180cm PF@Eldoret dish is currently docked at Paksat 1R. Measurements will be appreciated. Meanwhile how can i get patch 178p and 183p for strong SRT 4922. They are no longer available at crosat.us

I have noted something queer on my 7e where signal Q on V tps reduces in the mornings and peaks at midnight and vice versa. Then am experiencing a scratchy CNN during the day and smooth nights.

Bwana Kungu1 i noted you have placed your 7e LNB vertically, and i have also seen a similar setup somewhere, whats the advantages/disadvantages of doing so because i tried and failed terribly?

Me think its to maximize on the V's on 7e and get most of the tp's on 5e, thats how mine is set up.

On what tp are you getting the scratchy CNN on 7e?

Good Morning,

Am using an Inverto Ultra Black Quad lnb which i noticed performs better on some frequencies when skewed to the vertical position.

I.e signal strength of frequency 11617 V Eutelsat 7 East A European beam goes up by 9% when lnb is placed in the vertical position.

Am currently exploring new fridge sat's with my 2.4 meter offset as Eutelsat 7 East A lifespan is expected to end year early next year.

Eutelsat 7 East A Technical info:-
Launch date 16th March 2004
Design life 12 year.
Give and take, Eutelsat 7 East B will replace Eutelsat 7 East A around March 2016.
