After procedure of the magic,srt will accept any software v3.09p downward,you will be able to nab the complex channels on tp 11617v.

That's true,after followed the said process I was able to nab channels on tp 11617v using the old software that was left in the srt v3.09p. Note that the srt will not accept software v3.07 or v3.09p it refer it as old software only the magic will solve the problem.

When updating srt with any latest software,don't go to the extension of second stage of "SW Write",You will be forced to resurrect you srt by "ROB". Switch power OFF at the first stage of "SW Erase" and then ON after some view seconds.

I think they sold the 1.5m offset dish as this is 1.8m pf dish being sold @ ksh15000(USD160).....eish

it looks like a solid PF dish..it smells like one too.

Does your lnb has Teflon inside. If not insert it in and you are good to go.

So, let me get this straight: by performing this procedure, the decoder will be able to accept the old software (I got 3.09p and 3.11p online yesterday) with which I'll then update my 4950H, get the channels on 11617v, make a back-up of this, update to 3.20p then restore my channel list?

That's true, but first check the software that will be leftover after the magic. Like I said after performing this procedure I was left with v3.09p I don't know why coz from last year I was using v3.09p then v3.15 and recently v3.20p when channels on tp 11617v vanished after factory default.
On the first experiment I just used the software that was left in the receiver v3.09p,I installed data channelist and softcam 1.key then manual scan tp 11617v.On the next experiment after I had done the magic I installed software v3.20p then channelist and softcam 1.Key carrying channelist of channels of Tp 11617v.

You underestimate 4922. Have used it 3yrs on am not Missing What 4950H provide. Have used all of them.

I have both of them srt 4922 & 4950h but 4922 have no problem with its latest software especially on the said TPs 11617v and 11534v @7 E. After factory set/default all channels especially on tp 11617v they vanish.

4922 has no problem with 11617v. But on the weak tps like the one hosting IDx/Discovery/Discovery Science na ile ingine ya MTV Hits/E! you will certainly not like its performance at all.

I got both but I prefer the analogue one. You need to keep adjusting the signal display levels down on the meter to maximize signal. The digital meter's dongle is a bit sensitive and tricky to adjust.

From experience the strength of TPs it all depends on the set-up,What one likes watching and which tps to maximize /minimize to strike a balance.

It is possible to be left with the one you purchased your receiver with,because this software v3.15-20p they are similar. After that you can install v3.09p,channelist and softcam 1.key and then scan the said TP.Don't worry,😁 I did that twice to clarify the experiment.
