Hello FTA Gurus, I've been following this forum for quite sometime and the skills i've acquired are priceless! thanks to the open mindedness and selflessness of y'all experts. The way you share tips & tricks on this forum is very encouraging, my setup consists of a cheap Ku Lnb (cant recall its name) 90cm offset dish facing 7w connected to an srt 4950h decoder. Initially i was able to get the Fox, Dubai one, (though MBC's were cracking) and AD Nat geo, tps but after visiting amos 5, SES 5 and 7e to see wat i was missing, i returned to 7e and i lost these great Tps despite locking my dish on the exact spot it was before. what could be the problem?

I believe you mean you returned to 7w? The channels you mentioned are on 7w. You may need to adjust the azimuth, elevation and skew plus a bit of tweaking. Its quite hard to go for that tour and return to the set up to the last milometer. Something among the above must have given.

I have been with my SRT 4950H for a week now and I have not had any problems so far.
I patched it with V3.15P software immediately after buying it.
It is a rather complicated receiver to operate and you need a lot of patience when using it.
It is certainly not suitable for newbies.
Why not try out the new software V3.16p. Maybe it will make you happy.

Hi am close to a forum member using a 6ft pf dish who gets that package on his 4922 while on Amos 5. I can ask him to contact you regarding your post.

Yes, TP's - 10804 H 29950,10977 H 24113,11294 H 45000. Lock amos 5 and move your Dish a mm or 2 to your left, if you are behind the dish.

Seems like to get this TP you require clear skies and a good Lnb + dish, my efforts proved fruitless..despite taking time and putting in a lot of patience.. Amos 5 is however easy to nab...I think i'll have to wait until the rains are over..

and my Fox have returned.. thk goodness

With a dish of 130cm offset and a good KU band LNB of Inverto as the prime focus you will nab all the Movies,News and Sports channels on Nilesat 201 @7 W and Eutelsat 7 west A @7.3 W.you can add another LNB like Starlife single LNB which cost Ksh.350 here in Nairobi, long the LNB holder about 9inch-12inch from the top of inverto LNB to nab Eutelsat 7A @7 E which carries beIN Sports 1&2 also French channels like hust***s using b**s key to unlock them.
Make sure the dish pole holder is 90 degree vertical.

I believe you mean you returned to 7w? The channels you mentioned are on 7w. You may need to adjust the azimuth, elevation and skew plus a bit of tweaking. Its quite hard to go for that tour and return to the set up to the last milometer. Something among the above must have given.
