I did a blind scan and was able to get FRANCE 24,NHK WORLD, RT,DW,CCTV,I24 which were not there yesterday.I also lost MUVI TV channels.

I'm new into this fta hobby so I guess I must have fiddled with some settings. Any help in getting the channels back?

Is anyone able to watch the uganda mux on eutelsat 10a c band? i am finding it difficult to get them stable with a 2.4m pf. how can i solve this.

Additionally, anyone with ugandamux at 60 e c-band?

Before you had set your dish at the position @7 E, but it drop a few centimeters about 2cm, now it's pointing on position of Ses 5 @5 E.When you are blind scanning it doesn't matter where the setting are on your receiver,what matters is the position of the dish.Auto scan or manual scan it matters the setting of frequency on your receiver.

Working perfectly, thanks a lot. That hustler tv is "moto wa kuotea mbali" :embarrassed:. Thank God I was all alone when I was unscrambling the channels. Bein Sport French in HD and nice. They showed two Serie A matches and an FA Cup match live last night.

Hi Vicwa, does mean there's a way you can combine/receive the two sats, 7E & 5E with one dish?

Point your dish North West. Check (FlySat Amos 5 @ 17° East Beams) to identify beam that applies to your location.

I'm a newbie and interested in receiving international news channels (in Nairobi) by satellite dish such as CNN, BBC World, AlJazeera, and if possibly other BBC channels, France24, DW, and movie channels. If possible also BVN (Dutch). Can someone explain me the basics of how to proceed (without having to go through 3000+ messages in this forum...)? What material (dish, receiver) do I need?

Oneworld, welcome to the world of ASAS. In this world (or is it a ward), I have realized as a patient, that the most important equipment you will need is PATIENCE. Take time and sieve thru the experiences of other victims. It is such fun to read them. But for starters, my simple diagnosis of the symptoms you are showing of ASAS leads me to this cure: these two birds: Eutelsat 7A at 7e and SES 5 at 5e. Look at these two links:

SES 5 at 5.0°E - LyngSat. Eutelsat 7A at 7.0°E - LyngSat

The good news is that you can kill these two birds with one stone, i.e. with a single dish, you are able to get the two. On the equipment, there's a range of them, a 90cm (or bigger) offset dish or 180cm (the bigger the better) prime focus dish, a Stargold Fuji or Inverto Black LNB or any other good lnb, an FTA satellite receiver (there's a wide range of them) a good quality coaxial cable, some few f-connectors and most importantly; PATIENCE.

Now hit the roof and report back here. I wish you the slowest recovery of this ASAS.

As Ph-25 said. And I quote "The answer is yes".With one dish of 90cm/120cm and one LNB you are capable of bringing down two birds with one stone, Ses 5 @5 E and Eutelsat 7A @7 E.But I prefer 120cm dish which will be able to receive the weak frequency like Tp 12734v 4430 carrying a feed channel of etv that show UEFA Champions League with English commentator on Tuesdays.
 
hello Gurus,
am asking if i can be able to combine Arabsat 20e and 7e on the same dish, my primary lnb is Abrabsat 20e c band on 1.80cm dish.
if possible explain in details on how to go about it. thank you.
