African Satellite World and Sat Gear

African Satellite World and Sat Gear

attachment.php
Just a short question: This has obviously been done by an ASAS guru who knows what he is doing, and is happily watching his choice birds all in one dish BUT: Now, when you put so many holders in front of a dish surely, don't you risk smothering the incoming signals? Doesn't this constitute an obstruction I mean, is there a difference between this, and a tree in front of your dish? How exactly do many holders affect signal strength/quality?

most of things are exaggerated most of them as no cables and impossible ..keep trying

Wah! I joined this place on 26th last month and embarked on the challenging task of reading from page one. I am proud to announce that I finished reading today! It has been quite a blast. God bless all FTA lovers the world over, and may those blessing overtake all the ASAS victims wherever they are too. After going through all the post, I want point out the most touching post of all in the whole of ASAS world that I have ever visited. Kweli kabisa. I agree. FTA NASH, Kung'u and the like are just in a class of their own.

Wow, those holders are neat. Very clean set up! I must admit that most of the holders I have had fabricated are unsightly. Congrats to this guy.
What satellites are these lnbs pointing to? What channels are they showing.

Hi Mbarikiwa. I don't know which positions are tracked in that particular set up, and I doubt the one who posted knows. It was posted earlier on this thread; 13th June 2014. Posted by Msondaa. If I remember right, he said he saw it in another FTA forum. What I was drawing attention to is the aesthetic quality of the holders...not what positions the LNBs were tracking.

The above is a summary of posts generated by members after Freddygaz claimed
that the MBCs had resurfaced on 11902 V and later H.
You can actually feel the desperation and agony of the members as their tracking
skills were stretched to the limit without yielding any MBC.
Freddygaz please save us from ASAS agony and share how you got MBC.

Hi Members,
Need some advise from those using srt 4922 with 3G modem. I failed to browse or evn watch IP TV even after connecting my fully loaded Huawai 3G modem (E3131 21mbps). From Ip Settings, i select 3G and it clearly shows that i am connected. But if i try eg: to watch IP tv or YouTube, it keeps on searching and then eventually says Network error.
What could the problem be?. The modem connects very well using a computer.

This modem is Hi link and thus connects thru WEB UI you need to convert it to serial port for it to work in any receivers
PM for more help

Ever Wondered where some Channels went ? Read on...

Following the launch of the first alliance of its kind in the region to combat TV Piracy

Dubai, 18[SUP]th[/SUP] August 2014: In the short time since its creation the Broadcast Satellite Anti-Piracy Coalition has taken some important steps in its battle against the region's vast number of pirate TV channels.
Earlier this year key industry players combined forces to raise awareness about the impact of piracy on the region's burgeoning television industry and as a result of the continuous monitoring and reporting of intellectual property infringements the following channels are now off air: Al-Mamnou, Ahl Masar, CDC Cinema, CRT Cinema, Homos TV, I-Movies, Hollywood Stars, Kit Kat, Majestic 2, Mega Cinema, Nessma Al Khadra, QTV, Scope TV Movies, Time Movies and Top Movies. These channels alone were responsible for more than 700 infringements of intellectual property rights for studio owned movies since January of 2014.
Members of the Coalition are as follows: Arabsat, ART, du, Egyptian Chamber of Cinema, Eutelsat, IAA, JMC, MBC Group, Motion Picture Association of America (MPA), Nilesat, Noorsat, OSN, Rotana, STN, Viewsat and WWE.

Radi Alkhas, JMC CEO said: "At JMC, 300 TV channels are uplinked to different satellites. We always coordinate with our customers for any copy right infringements. Up till now, we have taken down 2 TV channels; Al-Mamnou and Majestic 2". Sam Barnett, MBC Group CEO commented: "The alliance of industry players is trying to combat thousands of hours of pirated content broadcasted to millions of viewers in the region". Barnett further added: "Pirate channels damage all legitimate producers, actors, production companies and broadcasters. It's essential for the health of the sector across the region, that the pirates are challenged".

On behalf of the International Advertising Association- Global Office, Faris Abouhamad, Chairman and World President said: " The IAA along with all of its stakeholders, members, corporate or individual, clients, ad agencies, and media owners, do not support any type of piracy or infringement on the intellectual property rights of any of our industry components. Hence we have asked all stakeholders involved not to support any channel identified by the coalition as an offender. Furthermore the IAA will take measurements to point out such irregularities to its members, especially clients, to safe guard their investments and reputation in the market". David Butorac, Chief Executive Officer of OSN, said: "The television industry's sustained growth depends on recurring investments made by leading channels and networks to promote talent and create new content. A significant portion of TV channel revenues is in fact reinvested in the business. Illegal operators adversely impact the industry by not only accessing content illegally but also denying up-and-coming creative talent the opportunity to evolve, as TV piracy impacts the potential investments that channels can make."

I think you likely have it already bro. Rather than look for "*I*dman, Look for "*y*dman" on your channel list.
