Nilesat 101- decommissioned.

Nilesat 201- You cannot receive it in the East African Region. It will soon be decommissioned. Channels will migrate to Eutelsat 7W and Eutelsat 8W @ 7West and 8West degrees respectively. Personally I cannot wait for FX to migrate to 7W or 8W

FX is not yet back on air, and as far as I know its currently on "pause" last time I watched it it was on Badr 5 -10730 Mhz but as of now its temporarily off air.



However ,Point of correction, Nilesat 201 is actually receivable in East Africa . Its the satellite that carries Dubai one,BBC,Euronews,Press TV,CNN,MTV,bloomberg,NHK,CCTV.. etc

Now...on another matter, following the demise of my SRT 4920, during a powerful lightening strike, I ordered for a brand new SRT 4950H. its clean, no updates.. anyone with a link to the firmware that can open Di***turk?

Check the fuse inside the 4920, most lightning strikes just blow the fuse.

I belive they are....
...... the patch makers/code writers have been messing/experimenting with the Codecs... it looks like they are trying to enable the receivers to decode ACM/VCM transmissions... and they might just succeed if this early attempt is anything to go by...

If you download straight from the transponder/frequency you will only get the channels from one Multistream.....If you want to add the other channels from Multistream 2 you will have to do this manually... one channel at a time...
Menu > Edit Channels > Add Channels > Select Transponder > Enter Channel Name > Enter Video PID > Enter Audio PID > Enter PCR PID > Select Video Type MPEG1/2 > Select Audio Type MPEG1/2 > Press Yellow to Save

Now to get the BUD to do the magic 🙂

Please shed more light on this.Does it mean only the patches will do the magic no special hardware is required on the receiver part.I believe the Kenyan mux @72.1E is so interesting to most of us.

Spare remotes for SRT 4920/4922/4910/4900/4930 are flooded in Kampala especially at MS Electronics near Usafi market.
They go for 20K (UGX). Look for Kampala bound buses and ask the driver or conductor to get you one.

Thanks I relocated to my other home for a few days break from work. I don't like the decoder here (Delsat 777) so I always come with my dear 4920. I was packing in a hurry I forgot the remote. Temporary setback.

No patch for astrovox 9000 but you can use cccam instead. Follow the link below, for only 3 dollars (around 270 ksh) per month you can watch digi.tu.rk on any decoder compartible with cccam.
