African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Point your dish to "Muvi TV' from Zambia on Eutelsat 7A (7.0East): 12521 H 27500 DVB-S; or 12645 H 30000 DVB-S2 MPEG4. At least its picture quality for W/Cup is better than others; but cannot match what we enjoyed on SABC1.

Thanks. Will do. had the SES 5 lnb under the 7W-8W one which is prime, but with the picha msondaa has posted, am going to get 7E as prime and sort out the rest.

TV Oromiyaa is available on Ku-Band on: Amos 5 (17.0East), 12216 V 27500 DVB-S, MPEG-2; and also on Eutelsat 7 West A (7.3West), 12380 H 27500 DVB-S, MPEG-2.

During the LIVE W/Cup matches, tune-in to the one on Amos 5; since the other one on 7 West broadcasts other national issues at that hour. Once the match is over, they both air the same programmes.

I haven't checked the ones on C-Band yet: Thaicom 5 at 78.5E (3640 H 28066 DVB-S MPEG-2); NSS 12 at 57.0E (4026 L 2963 DVB-S MPEG-2); Amos 5 at 17.0E (3626 R 2000 DVB-S MPEG-2).

I was thinking of the C-band because of the rains.

Hey, this is easy, just print this pic and show it to a good welder who knows his job. He can fabricate the fittings for you.
PS: note how the lnbs follow the clark belt.

Who is Clarke?:A S 13: Where is that belt?:heh:

You cant buy such items, you get a hammer, pliers, hacksaw and start innovating on some metal pipes, plastic and even wood in rare cases. Check out this pic from the web

Wow this just made my day. This is one comment from the website I'm just wondering if they think that the umbrella will help "rain fade" during storms.

That's DIY on the cheap.

Yep! People do not know that these things were made for the outdoors. In weathers more extreme than ours. I have seen kasuku buckets smothering some lnb's:der:

:wave:The orbit, which Clarke first described as useful for broadcast and relay communications satellites, is sometimes called the Clarke Orbit. Similarly, the Clarke Belt is the part of space about 36,000 km (22,000 mi) above sea level, in the plane of the equator, where near-geostationary orbits may be implemented. The Clarke Orbit is about 265,000 km (165,000 mi) long. :loco:

As for the firmware updates,
1) Insert the USB memory device into USB Port of the PC.
2) Make a folder in USB Memory device. Folder name must be “LG_DTV”.
3) Firstly, copy lower version file only to “LG_DTV” folder in USB memory device .

Insert the USB memory device into USB Port of the TV.Position of USB port : Side or Rear
A few USB memory device may not be compatible with the TV,
in that case you use another USB device.

etc. I do not have that TV but i downloaded the manual and the instructions seem quite straight forward. I t is good practice to always update your firmware, especially from your device maker's website directly. It sorts out issues you might not even know you had. Remember they have millions of dollars in research funds etc. They know why they bring out new firmware.

GOOD NEWS to all members with SRT 4950H ,the new software works very well with BISS KEY! currently enjoying NAT GEO GOLD(3730V30000) @ 46¤E.

Good on you, man! At least the snakes and monkeys won't give you a heart attack or ulcers.

No issues experienced though I make sure its always up-to date on software patches. It has DVBS/S2 DVBT/T2 and the sound is better than most LED TVs I have used. I find its receiver more sensitive than my strong 4922.

Where do you get the patches? How do you patch? The tuner is more sensitive than STR 4922, i have press tv,bbc and stable dubai one using a 90 cm on 7w

Oromia TV on C-Band Thaicom 5 also airs live WC games. But this satellite is useless most of the channels are not showing now not worth tracking.

That's a nice setup. I came across this one which can help greatly in fine tuning to get that kaboom, as one member usually puts it! it's horizontal as the fella is far away from the equator
