African Satellite World and Sat Gear

African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Hi. Av had of new 4950 software is out. I need for srt 4950H that opens patch menu for biss keys. Please advise.

SABC's are scrambled on my end. My Astrovox says TV Congo on Astra 4A(that is SES 5 in kenyan money), 12053V/SR-29948 but not as clear as SABC. I was in panic mode, almost dashing onto the roof! :mod: I have never had luck with Oromia TV :nono:. the one on nile sat at least. are they broadcasting differently? This one and the one everyone quotes as showing epl, and now W/Cup?

Point your dish to "Muvi TV' from Zambia on Eutelsat 7A (7.0East): 12521 H 27500 DVB-S; or 12645 H 30000 DVB-S2 MPEG4. At least its picture quality for W/Cup is better than others; but cannot match what we enjoyed on SABC1.

Both C- and Ku-band? 51 TV Congo saved my skin yesterday. Although the Congolese cameraman:madgrin: shat his pants every time the Mexicans/Brazilians did anything interesting.

TV Oromiyaa is available on Ku-Band on: Amos 5 (17.0East), 12216 V 27500 DVB-S, MPEG-2; and also on Eutelsat 7 West A (7.3West), 12380 H 27500 DVB-S, MPEG-2.

During the LIVE W/Cup matches, tune-in to the one on Amos 5; since the other one on 7 West broadcasts other national issues at that hour. Once the match is over, they both air the same programmes.

I haven't checked the ones on C-Band yet: Thaicom 5 at 78.5E (3640 H 28066 DVB-S MPEG-2); NSS 12 at 57.0E (4026 L 2963 DVB-S MPEG-2); Amos 5 at 17.0E (3626 R 2000 DVB-S MPEG-2).

Wahenga walisema, Nessecity is the mother of all invention and ASAS sufferers are in the forefront. Due to our quest for more for so much less we come up with something like this. Saw it in another african forum and i just had to share.

Hey, this is easy, just print this pic and show it to a good welder who knows his job. He can fabricate the fittings for you.
PS: note how the lnbs follow the clark belt.

You cant buy such items, you get a hammer, pliers, hacksaw and start innovating on some metal pipes, plastic and even wood in rare cases. Check out this pic from the web
dish umbrella.jpg

Wow this just made my day. This is one comment from the website I'm just wondering if they think that the umbrella will help "rain fade" during storms.

That's DIY on the cheap.

I have a similar if not the same TV (32LN540U) and I receive several channels spread over 4 satellite dishes but I use a satellite finder to track them. As advised start with 7W then you can add another LNB below it and get SES5 (4.9E).

That model of TV 32LN540U is known to have issues, how is your sound? Any cracking whatsoever?

SERIOUSLY ??????
What about the link Katiklo posted today on page 368 ?
Maybe you do not like him or trust what he posts ?
Hello yako2. No dislike or mistrust directed at Katiklo please. I guess it was about replying to a post immediately you read it, plus permie looks to me like the one who first overtly alerted the house to the update.

On a different matter, I will p.m. you soon we share notes seeing as it is that you are next door. For the the record, Maseno is my location. ASAS reigns

Havent noticed any problems it works well...i tried firmware upgrade but it needs to connect direct through LAN or mhl.i get very good signal quality of satellite-100% but programmes 4 fta is it same to you

I agree with you totally, Muvi tv is much better than others in terms picture quality.

No issues experienced though I make sure its always up-to date on software patches. It has DVBS/S2 DVBT/T2 and the sound is better than most LED TVs I have used. I find its receiver more sensitive than my strong 4922.

Bingo! That is the picha we have been waiting for. You do not have to go and buy the extensions. i do not think you will find them sold as such. You will even be lucky to find them used for something else. Just make your own!

Maybe he just has a bad/slow link, and by the time he was posting his request, the link had already been posted. He did not see it and his request of course went way forward in the posts order. Cut him/her some slack ,members.
