I believe there was one edition in which they talked of wiring a 500-room hotel in London with FTA satellite tv. I believe a fellow forum mate will be able to expound more on the same.

Seems Apstar 7 Ku Band (Mena beam) is very powerful.

An equally powerful satellite located next to Apstar 7 @ 76.5°E is ABS 2 @ 75.0°E
ABS 2 recently replaced ABS 1 @ 75 degress East.

Using a 2.4 meter prime focus dish, am locked on both Apstar 7 & ABS 2 satellites (C-Band).

Currently enjoying Motorvision HD TV & Ginx TV on ABS 2, Frequency 3617 V DVB-S2 QPSK SR 29000

the modulator can be found at alfa sounds and other shops in luthuli on river road can't remember the model but at the time one was about 4000/-. each modulator is assigned a frequency within the UHF band and avoid collision with other frequency

if you have the skills of aligning the lnbs properly, you dont need many dishes. Currently am using 8ft to recieve 7 sats.

for the modulator we have alcad 410 and televes. you should opt for televes which are much more easier to use and quality is greater.

I have not used them. I wouldn't be quick to agree with their comparisons since most of the time its us customers that give them lessons on what we want to buy.

The inverto black performs abit better than starlife,especially on fringe satellites. I got the inverto at digital electronics sometime in oct last year at 1500/- for the single. Perfomance difference is not big on a 90 cm, maybe more noticeable on a larger dish

The single starlife also performs quite well,and is much cheaper,at around 350/-
