Hallo kungu where can i buy srt4922hd ? Its roughly how much? How can i verify its genuine? With my 90cm dish(currently on ds) can i get the movies package

Hi Kungu, is the 4950H tuner more sensitive than 4922

I read a post once on Nairaland from a persion that had both, and said the 4950"s tuner beat the 4922 hands down. literally. Here is a copy-paste from my notes from that post.
To be frankly speaking 4950H is doing wonder and it is almost the same function like 4922 but the advantage of 4922 is that it has lan port while 4950H is depends on internet modems and to my observation the software 2.11p from our crosat make things more easy and and more signal improvements.
The price from FASTLINK strong kumasi at alaba market kumasi in ghana is 150gh cedis with one 80cm dish and lnb ku.
To my surprise this receiver improve the signal better than 4922 and i remember my last visit to ghana where i came to install wire mesh dish 3.5M in kumasi on sky uk the TP12408V27500 dish not pop up green on 4922 while on 4950H is turning to green and channels pops up like 38% box tv, smashit, kerrang and etc were loud and clear and this are music channels on sky uk and they are FTA as well.
And on hotbird in ivory coast , with 4950H i got almost 365 channels while TP 11180 v 27500 cannot pop up green on 4922 but on 4950H the tp pop green and the channel is DARING TV is an xxx channel and with good cline daring tv opens loud and clear on 4950H
concerning the internet connection it connect very faster though the IPTV channels is not yet showing but other features like you porn , youtube ,google map and weather forcast for differents country is working perfectly and for those who is familiar with avatarcam HD decoder like Qsat e.t.c will know that 4950H almost has the internet set up like qsat i hope in the future the gui will look the same like qsat receiver and i am hoping that it would support avatar camd in the future soft.....Thanks more update very soon.

Yeah, i do have that habit of forgetting what was where, so i take notes.:glasses-nerdy:

Let's hope I will have it by evening, it has been sent today morning

My opinion: The dish weighs the same whether at the poles or at the equator, hence a dish that can be lifted by a motor at the poles should also be lifted at the equater.

My setup (in Zambia) uses an HH motor and a 135cm dish. I have used the motor for about a year. Its fast flawless and accurate. The motor has a "dont open" seal on it and I have found that when that seal is removed it reveals three screws which you can tighten or loosen. When adjusted the screws reduce/increase the stiffness of the "gearbox" in the motor. When tightened too much the dish will seem too heavy and move too slowly and the motor can get jammed at one position. When screws are too loosened the dish can seem too light and can move too quickly and over shoot sat positions. The trick is to adjust the screws such that the dish can move freely without jamming but at the same time it should be stiff enough to stop where the stb wants it to stop.

Theory: If your HH motor couldnt lift a 1.35cm dish probably the factory setting of the screws was too tight.
Disclaimer: Do this at your own risk. Donations of impossible to use brand new HH motors are welcome.:smiling:

Thank you LUNSAT. will look again at the screws and give it another attempt.

53.0E Express AM

Does it mean that there is a Ku-Band Sub-Saharan African beam on Express-AM22 at 53 East? Could it possibly be that you are receiving from Southern beam of Yamal 402 at 54.9 East? Check: http://www.lyngsat.com/Yamal-402.html and the beam maps below.

my setup consists of a 65cm dish pointed at 17E and an LNB hanged on top which recieves 7E and 5E, inspired by highlands patron. If you go back a few threads you will see his picture. All 3 sats with very good signal qualities. Before this I received 5E fixed on an Lnb arm with dish pointed at 7W, but it had very low signal strenghths and bad quality.

Thankyou techdee. I also have the same setup as you did before. Receiving 7w and 8w on the main lnb and 5e on the other lnb fixed on the arm. 5e signals are poor though.
I have tried searching for the HIGHLANDS PATRON photos but i have not found them yet, i continue with my search but if you can point me to a page or period it will be of much help.

Btw, are you receiving 5e and 7e on one lnb? Location?

Thank you.😛eace:

EUTELSAT 3B satellite readies for May 26 ride into space by Sea Launch:

Paris, 14 May 2014 - Eutelsat Communications announces that its EUTELSAT 3B satellite is ready for launch by a Zenit-3SL rocket operated by Sea Launch AG from the ocean-based Odyssey Launch Platform in the international waters of the Pacific Ocean.
The launch is scheduled for 26 May at 14:10 Pacific Daylight Time (21:10 UTC, 23:10 CET) at the opening of a 54-minute launch window.

Built for Eutelsat by Airbus Defence and Space, EUTELSAT 3B is designed to increase and diversify Eutelsat's resources and footprint at its 3° East orbital position. The first satellite to assemble Ku, C and Ka payloads in a single platform, it will operate up to 51 transponders. Its innovative tri-band configuration will enable customers to select from three frequency bands adapted to data, telecom, broadband and professional video services that are connected to a wide range of footprints covering Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and South America.

EUTELSAT 3B will replace the EUTELSAT 3D satellite that will continue full commercial service at another orbital location.

The EUTELSAT 3B launch will be a special event in Africa as the rocket's fairing is decorated with an illustration by the 16-year old Kenyan student, Eva Chemngorem, who was one of the two winners of last year's DStv Eutelsat Star Awards. Sponsored by MultiChoice Africa and Eutelsat, the DStv Eutelsat Star Awards is designed to spark interest in science learning by secondary and high school students across Africa. Entrants are invited to write an essay or design a poster on space technology that can support the development of the African continent.

The launch of EUTELSAT 3B will be video-streamed live on www.eutelsat.com.

Any one in Kampala receiving Digit**k?
Do I stand any chance of receiving it with a 6ft prime focus dish. Which is the best frequency to track with? Thanks.
