" ZDF, FIFA’s broadcast partner in Germany, ZDF will not be broadcasting matches unencrypted on the Eutelsat Hot Bird satellite platform during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. ZDF/ARD are media rights licensees for the 2014 FIFA World Cup for the German territory only. As such, their broadcasts will be available in the German language and restricted to Germany. beIN Sports is the exclusive Media Rights Licensee for the Middle East and Northern Africa."

MyHD - Channels should be receivable, though my conclusion is a mere deduction. I tried to lock Es'hail-1 @ 25.5˚E over the weekend here in Kampala with a starsat SR-3602 0.1dB universal single Ku-band LNB on a 130cm offset dish, and my effort didn't go in vain. From this position I was able to receive some Tps from Badr @ 26˚E, the Pan-Arab beam (according to Flysat), i.e. I received these Tps - 10730H, 10770H, 10810H, 10850H&V, 10930H, 11334V (DVB-S/SD and SR 27500). The STB I used doesn't give signal strength levels that are as high as the SRTs (strong decoders) but a 28% signal quality on this STB is enough to make channels work without cracking and all the Tps I've listed were between 35%(weakest) - 71%(strongest) on this STB, so no channel on these listed Tps was cracking. The STB is DVB-S/SD which is why I didn't receive any DVB-S2 Tps. MyHD channels are on the same Pan-Arab beam except for the the French channels on 11727H, so I can infer that they are receivable with a dish this small along and north of the equator at least here in Uganda.

Some extra information that may be irrelevant to your curiosity but could be useful for those interested in locking Es'hail-1 @ 25.5˚E; I received the 3 SD Tps (11604H 27500, 11664V 27500 & 11678H) on this sat according to Flysat for the E25B MENA beam and this gives me strong reason to believe I should have also received the BeIN Sports Tps if I had a DVB-S2 capable STB.

it was a project for a forum member and he had promised to give us feed back...Am still searching the actual post so we can ask directly from the member.

i know it was a privately commissioned thing, but i think it is a tall order for a welder. The best approach is to loook for someone with proper equipment that can do proper geometrical shapes, repeatable, reliably/ reliably repeatable:confused2:. you want someone like the Numerical Machining Complex guys. if there is a member on this forum that is willing to approach them, just ask for them to fabricate a parabolic dish! if they insist on minimum quantities, we will then get into a group buy and let them press them out for us.

HOW TO HIT THE SWEET SPOT BETWEEN 7W AND 8W
1. Maximum MTV and BBC Tps to 70%
2. Switch your decoder to Fox
3. Lower your dish while looking at your tv until fox starts to crack.
4. Lift it alittle to stabilize fox
5. You will lose both MTV AND BBC BUT.......

Had time, lowered my dish 45mm was able to get eutelsat 8w have all channels CNN,MTV, BBC, and mmbc channels at 51% signal. That's the best I could do to maintain all channels though signal not very strostrong. Kitengela,1.8m atrovox VSR 900hd, Fuji star gold sg-900.

With a 120cm offset plus Inverto black, u have a green light to proceed. in Kampala, i am using 90cm offset with Fuji HD lnb and getting 85% signal quality on Srt 4922. wishing you good-luck bro🙂.

because i am unable to get an offset greater than 130cm here in Kampala. i am considering welding a 1ft patch around the perimeter of my 130cm offset. :confused2::confused2::confused2::confused2: problem is which material to use? focal point is another worry for me. advise from a member who has tried this before will be appreciated. (the goal is to improve signal quality on 7E fro 64%, on srt 4922, my lnb is inverto ultra black Quard)
