I can confirm that Startimes switch off of some Local Channels today is actually a DIGITAL MIGRATION ROW. There was a court proceeding pending ruling on the same.

Going by this latest development on kenyamux, fta enthusiasts have been left with fewer options.

The big problem is that kenyan channels fta are scattered all over FlySat Kenya TV Channels
Lets hope that the FAMILY MEDIA AGREEMENT with Local Stations yields fruits soon.

Last evening, Citizen was unavailable on Signet and Star-times DVB-T2 platforms. But I could still view it with a 65Cm dish on IS20 (68.5E): 12578 V 3100-3/4, DVB-S.
K24 also still available on NSS12 (57E) on 90Cm: 11554 H 3300-3/4, QPSK, DVB-S2, MPEG-4

The Big 3 are shooting themselves in the foot. If audience is what they want, then they need to be available on as many platforms as possible,be it on a competitor's or not. Less reach has a direct baring on ad revenue.

Meanwhile Family TV on Amos 5 11057 Mhz has gone off .Could it be that its restrategizing to come back with the others?

Ruffcast can you confirm for me the 5West KTN's signal stability? Mine is weak on 8ft. I guess it needs fine-tuning.

Guys catch Family Tv1 &Family Tv2 @17e and lately @68.5e both on ku-band.

Vipi Eliyakim. For E 5WA, dish faces west. C-band KTN tp is 3656V2917. I am yet to fine tune it on my 8ft setup. Pliz try it on your 6ft and report back to us. You may use the same tp to track it.

DO YOU KNOW that a four-digit frequency is C-band's? e.g 3843V3100 (Frequency3843, Polarity Vertical, Symbol Rate 3100),

whilst a five digit frequency is Ku-Band's e.g 11766H27500 (fr11766, pol.H, sr 27500) .

it is C-Band but i don‘t think you will be able to nab it with 6ft dish but try it and get back to us. i tried once with 6ft dish and i only got SD channels like afnex1 and 2, startimes channels and others but not KTN.
you atleast need 8 footer
