ur rite my bro techdee 4 those members who a dieying 4 kenyan mux like my bro in voi u can get ds latest fta hd decoder frm hotpoit(lg prodduct) 4 only ks 3200/= with i year warrant, u can record thru usb, na hakuna malipo ya ziada, its d latest fta frm hotpoit frm ds decoder ul ve all d local channels 3 stones, channel 5 frm tz etc total 28 channel gospel inclsive nd no dish requared if ur here in mombasa go 2 combine radio electronic shop ile shop ya kalasinga sawa or pm mi.

Good morning all. This depends also on the availability of the digital terrestrial signal in ones area. Never the less, i bought my dvb t2 when the signal wasn't yet in my area. I kept kbc signet on their toes until they bowed down to my urge. It isn't easy to push these guys but with time it pays back. my dvb t2 is now doing what is was made for. I hate seeing citizens pay for what they can get for free (g* tv). we can save our societies by initiating positive change.

I beg to correct. Hotpoint and LG are not the same thing. Hotpoint Kenya is the aurhorised vendor of LG Electronics products in Kenya (LG is from Korea). Thats why wherever you buy your Original LG product, you get a warranty from Hotpoint Kenya(whose offices are at Sarit Centre Westlands). But over the years people have associated Hotpoint with LG and Hotpoint has taken advantage of this by having chinese products made and branded Hotpoint! It all started when LG discontinued the manufacturing of CRT TVs, thats why there are so many 21inch Hotpoint TVs in the supermarkets. Now there are Hotpoint Subwoofers, DVD players etc strategically placed near LG products with the banners Hotpoint - LG near or on the products. All this is to make you the consumer think that LG and Hotpoint is the same thing.

ABu.... I guess you're in Mombasa... What is your dish size and clarity of signal ?

I am in Nairobi. I am only able to get the Tps that host the Dubai package, The AD packages, RT arabic, RT English Iqraa HD et al. Specifically tps 11824v, 11862v, 11977v and the tp that hosts fox & fox movies. 29 channels in total. I am using 90cm dish & starlife dual lnb. The signal is at 65% on the srt4922 and 40% on the HD free...i need help getting the Saudia packages on 11746 H

I bought a hotpoint DVD player (cuz the attendants were spreading the gospel of Hotpoint=LG ) and it could not play any of my AVI, dvds which my LG player DV-350 could play, It just spins, freezes and makes lots of noise. At least it also has a USB port which plays the movies well so am thinking the DVD drive/motor is crappy.

the t2 receiver is below standards i tried to check the hardware and performance was slow and hangs abit.the remote is of low quality.

Hi SatMag,

It's very hard to direct one from 36° East because it is overhead here so the dish can face any direction provided you maintain the given elevation angle.

Instead, log onto http://www.satlex.de/en/azel_calc.html enter your location and satellite of interest and you will get the particulars needed to nab it that includes azimuth, elevation etc.

You can also download apps like Satellite locator to assist you in your pursuit.

hotpoint decoder doesnt have a front panel display.has a usb port the major sideline my hdd wasnt supported.i chanced to test next decoder with a similar software and remote (like hotpoint).it worked so well the price was 3,999

4 in 1 setup of 68.5E, 57E, 52.5E and 36E on a 1m dish.
52.5E is the main lnb,on top of it is 57E and on top of 57E is 68.5E. 36E is on the arm below 52.5E

i dont think so..the other tp has mbc on 8 west..it may have to do with THE VOICE..
