OK Permie, I agree with your advice, spot on but also you can have 7w and 8w on same LNB using a 130 but you will have compromised nile201 and some weak tps on 7 w it also depends on location the nearer to the beam you are the more possible. fringe users will have to compromise some tps to do that

My thoughts exactly. I just made a mount to carry 2 to 4 dishes one.being the 130cm to track the European beam on 7E and 7W since 90CM ain't doing it right.

Kasych where did you get the drivers and sofware for it. My Windows C says the usb device is not recognized. Point me to the right direction to get it.

A friend is also experiencing the same. I had set for him and was getting both Citizen and Tz mux on the same lnb. Tz mux is okay, I have even tried to nab Citizen alone but it didn't pop up

Emboko and others do this: drop to any shop downtown that sells Z*k* and buy the Z*k* stb model shown in the picture below. Do an fta atoscan and believe you me, it will work. I can bet on it. The latest Z*k* decoders (kwa box ya Brown) come with inbuilt smartcards&it doesnt have to be registerd to the company. As for the stealer's thing forget it I am not party to it.

As you may all be aware in Kenya CCK (Communications Commision of Kenya) now requires that pay tv firms also offer fta channels as an option. Infact all LOCAL CHANNELS must be airing fta by now. Some law enforcer must be sleeping on his job somewhere.

I know that some forum members here are also "Dish Fundis". Guyz if you are more enlightened tell us. Halafu does any of you guys have any info about the D**V Q-SAT thing? I Thank you.

You will make it. If you have a computer, go to dishpointer.com, it will guide you on where and how to point your dish. Also, if you got an Android phone, there are many applications you can use to point your dish. Like someone had stated earlier, the dish will almost be vertical. Many members have posted photos of their setup which you can look at in the foregoing thread pages. Alternatively, you can get the Z*ku bird which has stronger signals thereafter lower your dish. Once you lock onto any bird, ASAS will set in, next you'll be making plans for bigger and more dishes.

First,log on to CNN, if it proves hard,try with mbc Action. Go to nilesat 7w lyngsat for tp frequency.

This is the easiest thing to get. Your Lnb must be a good one, dish should be 90cm and above, the west direction should be clear of any obstruction of trees and then align your dish down as if it is about to touch the mounting pole ie about 25 cm from the edge of the curved Lnb holder or where it is market 35 on the polar mount.

Hi Tolil, yes they are available but rather expensive. The problem is that the Z*k* package prized@Ksh5600 is sold as a complete kit. In Kericho hardly any retailer will sell you the decoder alone. For all those wondering why they cant log in to bein website its coz of IP and this is why.
What is an IP address?
Every device connected to the public Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods (also called a 'dotted-quad') and look something like 127.0.0.1.
Since these numbers are usually assigned to internet service providers within region-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the region or country from which a computer is connecting to the Internet. An IP address can sometimes be used to show the user's general location.
Because the numbers may be tedious to deal with, an IP address may also be assigned to a Host name, which is sometimes easier to remember. Hostnames may be looked up to find IP addresses, and vice-versa. At one time ISPs issued one IP address to each user. These are called static IP addresses. Because there is a limited number of IP addresses and with increased usage of the internet ISPs now issue IP addresses in a dynamic fashion out of a pool of IP addresses (Using DHCP).
