Hello all after a very long struggle(nilesat 102 failed attempt) have manage to set up my first dish,feels really great!,have a freesat v7s and a 90cm(3ft) ds*v branded dish am currently getting the same 13 channels no radio when i search on these sats:int902,int 904,nss5,Intelsat 68.5 ;.hehe,correct me with this fta of mine.help ,dont laugh

was setting up 60e int;904,so searching on those others was a by the way.my elevation is 60/70(scale is approx).lnb skew abt 4 oclock(looking from lnb to dishreflector).lnb is ds*v packed one,elsat one i think

my signal intensity is 90% signal quality 72%.

At this juncture I feel duty bound to drop my six-pence advice. FTA using 90 cm is a pain in the a**.How do i know this?i am also on a 90.There is very limited choice with this dish size.I think you begin to enjoy FTA starting from 120(offset) and 180(prime focus),but i guess I like the fitness aspect that comes with hanging on a creaky ladder at 12 midnight.🙂🙂🙂.And with that dish size perhaps you might want to consider getting a more powerful lnb,for example an inverto black

You're either on 5E or 7E Aexmtk, I will confirm in the evening which is which 'cause the channels that you have listed are betting channels that I also come across in my set-up on which I have combined the said birds. I however use an Inverto Ultra black with a similar dish to yours. The satellite name on your decoder does not matter, channels from a different satellite can be received depending on the direction that the dish is facing......

Thank you ,now i will be just blind scanning any sat,I think the betting chnnls are feeds of yamal 402 55E because of " Champion TV, Ashgold fan TV & TPA 1,2 " cause my dish is facing at an azimuth of 88 and the 7E u said is exactly behind my dish about azmth 271

At the moment I am on a combo of 7&8 w.while these are mainly Arabic channels,I get some English movies and cartoons for the kids.but I now want to shift to 52.5 e. a small dish makes you keep on moving,na unajenga misuli kama bonus🙂🙂

i did manage to get 68.5e and 57e at exactly same direction with only change in elevation and lnb,57e(9 ethiopian channels)currently am on 68.5e got 100+ christian channels,cant take this,
i need some movies/doc/cartoon or just local(ku),,is there any on the east? let me try 52.5

i currently dont posses inverto lnb,using dstv packaged one ,etlsat..i think(no noise indicated only uni.. freq range).i did try elevating gradually to71 and past as 54.9 is at 66,,I did get a tp once after elevating,returning no chnnls even on further tuning,hence tried changing lnb positions then slightly moving sideways both sides.still failed
Did not try 52E or 51.3E

The theory is "On Ku, an offset dish will outperform a pf dish of the same size" . The theory largely holds accross various TPs and Sats. A 180cm offset will obviously by far outperform 180cm pf on ku.

From personal experience, a 180cm pf outperformed a 120cm on ku. Note the difference in sizes.
