I successfully managed to combine 3 disecq switches, i.e. two 4x1 switches to an 8x1 switch. The two 4x1 switches carry 8 birds scattered in 3 dishes. I then connected the two switches to two ports of the 8x1 switch, which ideally should be connected to the receiver.
Instead of connecting directly to the receiver, I split the signal using a 1x2 signal splitter and connected the split signals to a 4950H and a V7 combo. The results were impressive. No loss of even 1% of the signal. Here is a pdf document I created of the connection. Viva FTA

On a further inquiry msanii Gich instead of using a dual splitter can I use 8 way splitter and split the signal to eight different decoders.

Secondly if I use more than two four way diseq at the start can I feed the remaining ports of the eight way diseq.

Yes, you can use a 1x8 splitter but I think such a split may compromise the signal.
Again, yes, you can use upto 8 4x1 diseqc switches and connect them to the 8x1 switch.

There are new softwares on Crosat for 4950E/H/M. Someone could try.

Tried the one for 50H (V. 4.00) and did not like the results. I had to go back to 3.58

No, you don't need to have a dual or quad lnb, as long as your receiver has a Diseqcq 1.0 and 1.1. However, if doesn't have, as I discovered with the Az*m decoder, then you may need to have it. Most of the FTA receivers I have handled have these two lines.

Can somebody help me.I have Tiger T245 Pro decoder which was installed autorol it worked for a month now but started freezing.I scan it then it could not open the power vu channels.I tried to reset it to factory setting but no solution.In fact I have realized that after factory setting it lost the patch menu.what can I do and can I get the autorol software to install it a fresh.
