The government has a duty to ensure that their country stays ahead of others, or on an equal playing field. Not only is it in the interest of its citizens, it is also in the interest of the country and it's economy. Protecting citizens from foreign competition and loss not only helps the individual citizens, but also the country, as a whole. Its amazing to see Tanzania finally showing a bit of backbone concerning this matter, its interest and that of its citizen should be paramount to anything else. Its also good to know that they have out rightly refused the single tourism Visa other than doing what they do best, dancing around the issue and wasting valuable time like they previously did on other matters concerning the EAC ...the coalition of the willing should keep marching and shouldn't be fazed by side shows and other stupid distractions which we are currently witnessing, and am sure we will benefit immensely from the strategies put in place within a very short period of time.

Mass tourism is the only way the wanachi will benefit from tourism. Each tourist arriving needs a place to sleep, food to eat, and transportation. The more tourists no matter how cheap they are the more Tanzanians are employed. I would be more concerned about creating jobs and less about government tax collections, we have the mining companies for that.

No noise we are anxiously waiting for that petty project to start since so far has not started yet Mseveni said there are logistical hindrances on printing the visa and distribution that are to be addressed first!
