Malawi President Bingu Wa Mutharika likened Malawians to "chickens" that make noise on simple issues like the twin problems of forex and fuel, which are "just small challenges", saying Malawi is facing numerous problems than those two. Mr Mutharika made the remark in Zomba, Malawians old capital city when he launched a National Tree Planting season which comes during rainy season. "Malawians are like chickens, they cry over simple issues". Are you telling me that the only problems you can cry about are forex and fuel?. Mutharika said opposition political parties and 'opposition' NGOs were only interested on issues that would endear themselves with the international community but that would not help Malawians.
