When he became the first prime minister Tanganyika was the major exporter of farm products in Africa, few years later he made the country to be the poorest in the world.

When he "quit" the post after 24 years of dictatorship ruling, the country was totally bankrupt.

Do these current leaders have vision that has made/seen Tanzania a great exporter of goods, or still running downhill like a rolling stone?

I beg to disagree with you madam, which farm products you referred to...according to which statistics? let us start from there first....

It needs GOD mercy to lead illiterate people to somewhere, Mwalimu did his part and we recommend him for this, he did some stupid mistakes which are forgivable as a human how could he lead the whole nation without mistakes??? for more than 23years???. he is a greater leader with equally greater mistakes; Greater mistakes in the economy sector otherwise excellent to the other sectors.

Namini hili ndio kosa alilolifanya Nyerere, hakuacha hizi Instutions bali acha CCM kama the Only Institution na ndio maana alisema BILA CCM IMARA Taifa Litayumba. so alitumia Muda mwingi Kujenga CCM badala ya Institutions za Kitaifa kama Mahakama, jeshi, bunge, bila kusahahu serekali.

Kuna nyakati niliwahi kusema kuwa Nyerere alikuwa karatsi,kalamu,wino na kifutio.

It seems that the chaos and disorder with magucal competition to become rich and turning blind eye on all ills was in hearts of many within leadership ranks and now the disease has become an epidemic and affected the mass!

Eryone is focus on making money and become in power using shortcuts, there are no ethical or moral codes and a shameless cadre of leaders is happy to exploit its own wananchi!

The same MFs are now pitting each one of us through religion conflicts and class struggle of haves and have nots, while making sure they have safe heavens...

I wish Watanzania will wake up and walk away from pilau and mechi za Simba na Yanga za dezo and just start uprising of fikra that will dispose this toxic waste leadership we have at all levels (executive, legislative and judicial)!

Hivi Tanzania bila kusaidiwa kutoka nje ina nini zaidi, inachoweza kusema cha kujivunia kujiendesha yenyewe?

very true! Nyerere did many to remembered. he believed that he was a marking scheme to followed and failed to create self regulatory system in his part. that's why it was s simple task to replace arusha declaration with Zanzibar's one
