“Where Did the Shs26bn Go?” Owino Asks as Balaam Visits Tororo

Tororo County MP Nicholas Owino has asked the government to account for Shs26 billion reportedly allocated for the construction of Tororo District headquarters.

Owino told Parliament that residents wanted Minister Balaam Barugahara to explain what had happened to the funds, saying they had yet to see construction of the proposed headquarters.

“Has the money also been eaten?” Owino asked, calling for an explanation on the floor of Parliament.
