As part of his ongoing “Expose the Corrupt” campaign, Minister of Local Government Hon. Balaam Barugahara uncovered shocking conditions at a nursery and primary school in Ngenge Sub‑County, Kween District.

The school, constructed with mud and simple wooden poles, lacks even the most basic infrastructure. Pupils are forced to sit on stones and blocks during lessons due to the absence of desks, creating an unsafe and uncomfortable learning environment.

Minister Balaam pledged to raise the matter directly with President Yoweri Museveni, calling for urgent intervention to ensure children in rural areas receive dignified and proper learning conditions.

This revelation adds to a growing list of cases where government schools have been found in deplorable states despite receiving regular funding. Balaam’s campaign continues to highlight the urgent need for transparency, accountability, and stronger oversight in Uganda’s education sector
