We can talk the talk but not walk the walk

I have come to the conclusion that the main problem with our country is when it reaches the point where we actually have to do something. We are like an artist who can imagine the most beautiful of things but it always seems to come out wrong when he actually gets to drawing. Many plans look good on paper but the implementation part becomes a problem. This is why most campaign promises are never fulfilled. Look at all the data we have on ufisadi. We know the crimes that have been committed, we have the suspects but what is being done? Every day new allegations arise and although we are happy things are now coming out in the open, what good does it do us if nothing is done about it? It seems like some times it's better not to know something than know it and do absolutely nothing about it.

So what is our problem? Is it that we are lazy? Where over our heads with our ideas? Or simply that we are a society which just can't find solutions to problems we can plainly see? Or is it that we lack the necessary education and expertise that when it comes time for us to use our knowledge we just fail?

Now here comes the main part which is the theme of the thread. If we know our problem is talking the talk but not walking the walk how do we fix this problem? How do we actually get things done? Who should get things done? The politicians? The highly educated? Civil servants? Or the working class? Who or what group in our society will be our savior?

Our nation has a serious problem of getting things done from small workers up to the bosses in charge. it seems that every body is hoping that some one else will do the job and it is easy for us to blame others.

It's time we started walking the walking!

Lazy, corrupt and incompetent. That's Tanzanian leadership for you. The way i see it

a) Electing the right leaders: Every Tanzanians responsibilty

b) Serving the People, solving problems, good policy, rule of law, etc: Leaders responsibilty

c) Holding Leaders accountable: again everybody, but mainly the media and other leaders.

a. is difficult to achieve with an uneducated and poor populace that is easily bribed and cheated.

mwanaF!....The only thing i have learned about sisi watanzania we are good into complaining and talkinng and poor kwenye ku solve matatizo....unamshika mwizi right handed anapelekwa mahakamani hakuna sheria anatoka kwa kuhonga....hii issue ya ufisadi mafisai wote wanajulikana ila tunabakia kupiga domo wee hakuna sheria yeyote inayotendeka na wao bado wanadunda tuu....yaani si viongozi wa kitanzania or wananchi wote tupo tuu ili mradi siku inasogea.....alafu tunalilia change!...change haiwezi kuja kwa kupiga kuongea bila kufanya action.....

Na hakuna chama ambaco kitakuja kutawala na kuleta changes yeyote or maendeleo yeyote trust me hali ndiyo itazidi kuwa mbaya zaidi....

-we can not walk the walk with insatiable leaders who are not patriotic,lack the vision and dont respect the rule of law and good governance
-we can not walk the walk with the majority of poor uneducated citizens who dont just know their civil rights but also the meaning and purpose of multiparty democracy.
-we can not walk the walk with a dozen of opposition political parties full of puppets taking orders from fisads
-we can not ......

Very unfortunately we spend alot of time protecting our incompetencey instead of looking out for solutions.We can't find solution to any of the problems we face, starting from anything you think of mentioning. But why have we decided to destroy ourselves and the future of the country by behaving the way we behave?

The thing which is unacceptable for most of we tanzanians is when it comes the time of reality.
1. first thing which can be the very step stone to success is to accept all of us we are Chenge,RA,Kikwete like.
2 second core is ,we are so far better when it follows time of betraying
3.third and compulsory is we are mind dependent .
4.forth is we are no calm under pressure while aproaching problem illogically.
Those four above are top dogs .

I agree with this, take for example the Silverdale Case in Moshi. How many people have stated that Benjmain Mengi is corrupt, that the lease to Silverdale & Mbon Farms belongs to British investors Stewart Middelton and Sarah Hermitage.

Edward Hoseah has stated this to be the case and Kikwete has told the British government the issue will be resolved fairly. He has not.

Kikwete takes money for good governance (see todays Guardia) but fails to address the 'Silverdale Case' where British investors were driven from the country by open violence and abuse orchastrated by Benjamin Mengi and facilitated by the police, judiciary and senior government Ministers.

Benjamin Mengi unlawfully invaded Silverdale & Mbono Farms and remains there unlawfully treating it as his own. He has abused the criminal and commercial laws of Tanzania with immunity.
His conduct is condoned by the police, the judiciary and Kikwete himself.
Recently Sitta attended the Machame area with Reginald Mengi. The Mzees's of Machame asked for the Silverdale Case to be made public. It was not.
IPP Media has defamed the investors continuoulsy despite giving his promises to the British government that the defamation would cease.
No matter why Kikwete refuses to address this issue or how much money he continues to gain in aid on the basis of good governance, no one will take Tanzania seriously as a good country to invest in all the time Benjamin Mengi and the corruption that surrounds him remains unadressed.
The Siverdale Case is an indictment on the people of Tanzania. It offered Kikwete a choice to demonstrate his committment to good governance. A choice between the bonafide interests of investors that he rhetorically coverts, or the criminal interests of a failed Tanzanian business man.
He has chosen the later.

The question thereore is, how deserved of this money is the government of Tanzania and who is going to be accountable?
