A viral image circulating on social media by Numan Khan on Instagram claims to show FIFA President Gianni Infantino wearing an Argentina national team jersey while dining with FIFA referees, as Donald Trump watches from the background beneath a FIFA World Cup 2026 banner. It is shared with the caption: "Gian Big Bucks." The post implies that FIFA officials are secretly favoring Argentina during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

What We Know
•The image is AI-generated/digitally manipulated and does not depict a real event.
•There is no credible evidence that such a dinner ever took place.

When Jamiicheck analysed the image with AI detection tools, including Hive Moderation, we found a 99.9% probability that the image was AI-generated and 0% likelihood of being a deepfake of a genuine photograph.
•The image gained traction amid refereeing controversies at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including:
-FIFA's Reversal of U.S. forward Folarin Balogun's suspension after public criticism from Donald Trump, raising concerns about FIFA's independence.
-Controversial refereeing and VAR decisions in Argentina's match against Egypt which ended in a 3:2 in favor of the Argentines, which fueled accusations of favoritism.

-These real events were combined into a fabricated image that amplifies long-standing claims on social media that FIFA protects Argentina.

•The caption "Gian Big Bucks" is a mocking pun on Gianni Infantino, implying financial or political influence. However, there is no evidence of bribery or corruption linked to the image or the specific 2026 incidents.

Verdict: MISLEADING
The viral image is fake. It was created using AI or digital manipulation and falsely presented as a real photograph. Although it references genuine controversies surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it does not provide evidence of FIFA bias or misconduct.
