Tanzania's Vice President, Mohammed Bilal, will visit Stockholm on Tuesday 27 September. Minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Carlsson will receive Vice President Bilal. The Vice President will also have talks with Minister for Social Security Ulf Kristersson.
Mr Bilal and Ms Gunilla Carlsson will also be taking part in a seminar under the heading Dawn in the Serengeti - Sweden's partnership with a Young African Lion Economy'. Ms Carlsson will present her views on Sweden's close cooperation with Tanzania since the country gained its independence in 1961, and outline the direction of future cooperation.
The seminar is being organised by the Nordic Africa Institute, the East Africa Entrepreneur Progamme at the Stockholm School of Economics and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Tanzania is Sweden's main development cooperation partner. Continued good relations with Tanzania in the areas of trade, democracy, culture and foreign affairs are highly valued by the Government.
Media representatives are welcome.
The seminar will be webcast.
