Greetings to u all my fellow JF mates. Hope all is well.

To the point,
My Background:

EGM - A Levels
Accounting & Finance - BSc.
Investment & Finance - MSc.

As tujuavyo Elimu ni bahari, si dhambi kujiendeleza zaidi kimasomo kama aliyejuu amekujalia the funds, health & time to do so (Im forever grateful).

Nafikiria kufanya an MSc. Building Economics & Construction Management hapo Ardhi University late this year due to the opportunities available in that sector pia nikiwa na interest katika field hiyo.

Hivyo basi naomba wajuaji wa mambo mnijuze iko vp hyo based on my edu background and what challenges am i to likely face during my studies. How does one perceive this ?? Do u happen to think there are any better options ??

Due to the nature of my activities kwa sasa, My aim is to some day have a consultancy and construction firm (ningeweza fungua sasa ila bado binafsi kuna mambo nataka yaelewa) hapo mbele kidogo kama Bwana Mungu akiniweka nitafungua.

Karibu.
Thanks a Bunch.

Huku unajifunza zaidi construction contract and tendering. Kuna primary idea nyingi hutakutana nazo kwenye Msc. kama take off and methods of measurements.

Nimekuelewa chief & thanks....la msingi nafikiri ni juhudi tu cz namba, uchumi na geog nimepiga fresh tu in my A levels.

For my degree economics nd finance hazikua tatzo...issue ni huu upande wa Construction kidogo mambo yatakua mapya (kwa vile nmeamua kutoka moyoni, nafkiri ni bidii na kuomba Mungu tu. Failure isnt my thing haiko in my system kabisa.)

Hapo kwenye kuwa registered as a professional u mean kwenye board ya wahandisi. Ndio nafaham kwamba kuwa registered itahitaji a further step but my aim is open nd run my own construction nd consultancy firm (i have this advantage i will likely leverage on).

How do u find this ??

Hii ina involve all contractual matter in construction projects, cost management and control.
Ila usikate tamaa japo itakua ngumu kwako.

Ok...i happen to understand ni lazma upitie board...u qualify kufungua ur firm and so on. What if nikitumia a qualified individual with whom i will pay nd have my company registered wit his/her papers. Wapo business people wengi tu wanaofanya hivi.

I will be the one to put my funds in the Co. plus nimefuatilia vyuo vya UK nlikua kule wanasema an individual might have a bachelors degree in any sound course (Economics, Maths or Business Related) and can still enroll and do an MSc.

As ulaya ukifanya hiyo course automatically iko accredited ba board yao inaitwa RICS (The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

Iko vp hapo sijaelewa.

Kwa bongo lazima ufanye kazi kwa miaka miwili either contractor or consultant (Under supervision of registered personnel, then kuna logbook unajaza na ku submeet AQRB kisha kuna mtihani unafanya, ukipass unakua registered ukifail unarepeat). RICS ni international board inakuongezea credit ukija bongo, unafanya paper tu na sio kujaza logbook. For more info unaweza kutembelea website ya AQRB.

Ooho so its not an issue after all ni work experience hlo halisumbui....plus shule utakayo piga sivyo ?? Naam, Sidhani kama mtu utapiga shule then upige kazi two or three years then upige paper uchemke. Naaah !!

Thanks a lot for the guidance. All i had thot nilifikiri still kuna classes or modules za ku clear kama CPA/ACCA after hyo MSc. I will definitely take this foward.

Sasa whats the point kuruhusu other candidates with a different bachelors background pursue hyo MSc. Building Economics ?? Cz hata ulaya u can qualify kusoma hyo MSc ukiwa na a different background.

Does it mean hawajui later on ungependa kua a registered proffessional...??

Nimeangalia website ya AQRB its true wanasema inabdi upige 2 year post graduate training in a registered firm nd that uwe ume clear diploma au exams on intermediate level...hapo kwenye post prad training is it exclusive ya hyo MSc (mafunzo chuoni) au ukimaliza shule ukapige tena training kwenye firn ??

What if nikitaka kuwa recognised na hyo RICS internationally then nije AQRB ??...Hapa TZ ntakuwa registered baada ya kupiga paper la board au vp ?? Cz TZ nyumbani hapa procedures ndeefu alaf hamna kitu.

Au ka vp mtu una register firm yako na some other person's papers (unamlipa) unapiga deal zako kama kawa nd still unapiga hyo MSc.

1. Ardhi hakuna masters ya Building Economics....its Construction Management.

2. You can't own a consultancy firm kama hujasajiliwa na board ya AQRB as a registered profressional.

3. You can't own both consultancy and contracting firms.... That's conflict of interest

4. Kufungua contracting company sio lazima uwe umesoma hizo course, anyone can open that, only that one of the share holders has to be a technical director.(engineer, Qs or architect)..

5. In the field of construction, masters hai-matter Sana, unless you want to be an academician.. The bachelors, plus the registration are enough to do you good.. Thats why its a must to have the bachelors in order to be registered...

6. Have you thought about MSc in Project Management? That way, It could be easier for you...

I stand to be corrected.

Mbona ma contractor hapa town darasa La 7 wengi tu , form 4 ni wengi Sana hata hizo masters hawana. Unahitaji kua mkandarasi then this is the way, kua na capital(vifaa kiasi + nguvu kazi), connection TANROAD /JIJI (asikudanganye mtu ukandarasi ni shughuli ya kushikana mikono), Pata connection na wanasiasa kwenye majimbo Yao wanasauti Sana kwenye tenders na usiwe na mkono mfupi.
