Barcelona's interest in Arsène Wenger's captain is no secret and they tried to sign him last summer, but were eventually unwilling to meet the midfielder's asking price.

The Colombian striker helped fire Porto to the treble last season and his prolific goalscoring record saw him hit the net a record 17 times in the Europa League. The 25-year-old forward is rumoured to be wanted by both Arsenal and Tottenham, with a bid in the region of £26m on the horizon.

Although Manchester City won the FA Cup and qualified for the Champions League last season, doubts remain over the future of their best player. Tevez has had a frosty relationship with his manager, Roberto Mancini, at times and wishes to be closer to his family in Argentina. A move to Italy or Spain could be on the cards.

The Belgian won the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award as he helped his club win the title for the first time in 57 years. Recent reports have suggested he may be willing to stay in northern France, but after some sublime performances this season coupled with 12 goals in all competitions, Europe's elite will be loitering with intent.

Manchester United are keen to improve their creative options in midfield and the young German, who starred for Borussia Dortmund as they won the Bundesliga last season, may be the perfect fit given the club's policy on bringing in players for the future rather than established names.

Sir Alex Ferguson is a long-time admirer of Sneijder and will be hoping Inter's star playmaker can replace the void left by Paul Scholes. The 26-year-old Dutch international was an inspirational figure when Inter won the quadruple, including the Champions League in the 2009-10 season and also helped Holland reach the 2010 World Cup final.

Kaká has endured a frustrating season at the Bernabéu after signing from Milan for £56m in 2009. The Brazilian has said he wants to stay with Real, despite continued interest from Milan, Manchester City and Chelsea.

French international Benzema joined Real Madrid in 2009 after the club paid Lyon in the region of £35m for him. At the time Manchester United had also shown a keen interest in bringing the striker to Old Trafford, although Benzema ultimately chose to move to the Spanish capital. He has been in good form for Real under José Mourinho, although he was left frustrated at being left out of the starting line-up in the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
