Kimsingi wanajiumbua kwa watanzania kwani inaonyesha wazi sasa kuna vita ya kibiashara kati ya precision air na dada zake vs fast jet na serikali yetu dhalimu ipo vitani kutetea mafisadi.

Tanzania itafanya makosa makubwa kuchukulia biashara ya usafiri wa anga wa bei nafuu ni kitu rahisi na pia Tanzania Revenue Authority, Tanzania Investment Centre na wizara husika kufanya mzaha kuwa Tanzania ina nafasi ya pekee kuwa 'hub' a.k.a kitovu cha usafiri wa bei rahisi ndani na nje ya Afrika kama ilivyo Addis Ababa au hata Nairobi.

Mashirika makubwa ya usafiri ya anga kama Kenya airways na Ethiopian Airlines wanakubali kuwa 'model' ya biashara wa bei nafuu bado ni changamoto kubwa na bado hawapo tayari kujiingiza katika business model ya FastJet.

Masuala ya madeni ya Fly540 kulazimishwa Fastjet yaachiwe kampuni hizo mbili wayamalize mahakamani. Serikali ya Tanzania na wadau wote tunatakiwa kuichangamkia nafasi hii tunu ya Tanzania kupitia Fastjet kuwa 'hub' yaani kitovu cha kuunganishia ndege kwenda nchi mbalimbali barani Afrika kwa bei nafuu.

Pia changamoto zingine ambazo serikali ya Tanzania inatakiwa kuziangalia ili kuifanya Tanzania kituo kikubwa kama Dubai kwa usafiri wa anga lakini kwa bei nafuu ni;
  • Profile of passengers isitazamwe sasa kama ni kwa ajili ya watu matajiri tu bali hata watu wa kawaida kama wafanyabiashara wakawaida, abiria wanaoenda likizo au kuhudhuria shughuli za kijamii kama mazishi n.k
  • Airport/departure tax zipunguzwe kwani aina ya abiria ni watu wa kawaida ila wanaopanda ndege kubwa kama airbus 319 ya abiria 150 na siyo abiria 50 wa ndege ya ATR 80, hivyo punguzo la kodi kwa abiria itafanya ndege kubwa kujaa na serikali kukusanya kodi maradufu.
  • Aviation/fuel tax zipunguzwe ili ndege zinunue mafuta hapa hapa Tanzania na siyo kuja na mafuta ya ziada kuepuka bei kubwa ya mafuta kutokana na kodi za juu za jet fuel tax
  • Ikumbukwe kuwa Kenya airways ina miaka 35 tangu kuanzishwa na KLM ina hisa kubwa tu ndani ya Kenya airways hivyo hata Fastjet ikiwa asilimia 100 hisa zake ni za kgeni lakini inaleta aina ya biashara ya usafiri wa bei nafuu na kuchochea uchumi kupitia kodi stahiki, ajira, manunuzi n.k
  • Ikumbukwe Ethiopian airways ina miaka zaidi ya 65 tangu kuasisiwa lakini pia kama ilivyo Kenya Airways aina ya business model ya low cost airline haijiamini kujiingiza na hivyo Tanzania itakuwa kitovu kikubwa cha usafiri wa ndege za bei nafuu

......According to TRA, the preliminary audit of all categories of taxes outlined above are yet to be paid by the company which was registered as an airline known as Fly540 Tanzania on May 29th in 2008.

The TRA document further states that the audit was intended to induce voluntary compliance through effective and efficient tax audit programme and to utilize audit opportunities to educate, foster customer care hence build trust, confidence and improved compliance to tax payer, FastJet.....

Hivi, ile ndege ya QUATAR iliyobeba Twiga wetu pale KIA ililipa kodi? au parking charge? Tunaomba TAA na TRA watujulishe.
 
Ki ukweli mambo yanayoendeshwa na serikali yetu ni ya kuendeleza kuwakomoa watu wa hali ya chini, maana yanaendeshwa ki mkakati wa hali ya juu, ukiangalia kwa haraka utadhani wanauchungu sana na mapato ya nchi lakini ukiangalia kwa undani utaona dhahiri kwamba at the end of the day mafisadi wana neemeka na walalahoi wanazidi kukandamizwa. Mimi ni mmoja wa watanzania ambao hawakuweza kupanda ndege hapo awali lakini kwa fastjet nimepanda mara kadhaa sasa na hata leo nina ticket ya wiki ijayo, ninaposikia haya ninaona ni njia ya kulifukuza hili kampuni na mafisadi wa PA waendelee kupeta basi sina njia bali nasubili matokeo.
 
Jamani hii nji hii mbona inaendeshwa kwa upendeleo? Hao PA wamelipia kodi kiasi gani toka waanze hiyo biashara utastaajabu hata robo ya hizo wanazoidai FastJet haifiki. Hata kama ni deni la kuridhi kwa Fly540 argument ni hiyo hiyo toka wasilete ujinga wao hapa. kinachowauma ni kuona kwa sasa ndege si anasa tena ambayo waliokuwa wanaafford kupanda ni wao na watoto zao tu.
Baada ya ujio wa hii ndege bei za tiketi zimeshuka sana, kwenda na kurudi KIA-DAR ilikuwa Hadi 550,000 lakini kwa sasa imekuwa Hadi 249,000 na hii ukaitumia Agenti otherwise WAWEZA pata ktk gharama nafuu Zaidi. Fastjet Tupo Nyuma yako wakomalie hao
Nchi hii mbona tunauana wenyewe kwa wenyewe tu mkuu. Kwa mfano, hawa TRA na serikali ya Vasco walipoona watu wananunua magari Japan tena magari yenyewe mitumba walipandisha kodi zaidi ya mara mbili ya bei uliyonunulia gari lenyewe. Muda si muda wakaja na a 20% kodi ya uchakavu, mara Motor vehicle licence iwe Tshs 300,000/= na sasa stika ya fire Tingisha inaanzia Tshs 20,000/= badala ya Tshs 5000/=.Hii yote kama siyo kukomoana ni nini?

2. ukisoma utaona element kubwa ni departure tax a.k.a air port tax. kila abiria anakatwa 10,000 hii ni hela ya serikali.

3. wafanyakazi wa kigeni ambao wameajiriwa kwenye makampuni wanatakiwa kulipa kodi na nssf. Ambao hawalipi kodi ni kwenye embassy, UN na makundi yake. Fastjet ni private na wanatakiwa kulipia Paye.

4. ushindani ni kitu muhimu kwenye biashara kwa ajili unasaidia kushusha bei na kupata huduma bora, lakini isiwe kisingizio cha kukaa na mapato ya serikali

Problems are piling up on Fly540 Tanzania which has been rebranded to FastJet, as the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) is demanding unpaid taxes amounting to 2.8 bn/-.

The TRA claim comes a few days after the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) had demanded the airline to pay over 570,668,242/- and 95,360.50 US Dollars in outstanding landing and parking charges.

The TAA letter dated February 12 this year also requires the airline to provide the authority within three working days a clear position regarding the clearance of the outstanding debt.

In the latest move, TRA claims in the letter whose copy was availed to ‘Daily News' that the airline has not met its obligations which include tax liabilities such as Pay As You Earn (PAYE) as per payroll analysis amounting to 456,317,637/- and PAYE difference with accounts worth of 987,517,985/-. Other categories of tax claims include; Skills Development Levy (SDL) amounting to 117,872,376 /-, SDL per differences with final accounts worth of 237,004,317/- , final rental tax of 70,877,283/-, stamp duty amounting to 15,708,037/- and departure tax of 951,562,012/-. Dated December 3, 2012, the document states that the scope of TRA audit of tax liabilities facing the airline had included corporate tax remittances from 2009 to 2011, PAYE and SDL starting from January 2009 to November 2012 and Rental and Stamp Duty from 2009 to 2012.

Fastjet is incorporated in England and Wales under the companies Act 1985 with its registered office at Gatwick Airport in the UK. FastJet's Africa Operations, previously Lonrho Aviation (BVI) Ltd, have been licensing the Fly540 brand from Five Forty Aviation since 2008.

FastJet's Africa Operations now fly three Fly540 branded planes in Angola and two in Ghana. It flew two planes using the Fly540 brand in Tanzania until November 2012 when the new company took over its operations in the country.
