PRIME MINISTER Kassim Majaliwa has suspended Karagwe District Procurement Officer Mr. Yesse Kaganda after being dissatisfied with the quality standards of the construction of Karagwe District Hospital which has been built at a cost of 2.5 billion shillings.

The Prime Minister said President Samia has provided funds to build and complete development projects and ensure the Government moves all essential social services but few executives have been failing to adhere to their work ethics and build substandard projects.

He said this yesterday (Sunday, September 19, 2021) after inspecting the construction project of Karagwe District Hospital in Kagera Region in the continuation of a working visit to Kagera region.

The Prime Minister has called on the leaders of the Regions and Districts to ensure that they properly manage the use of funds provided to President Samia in implementing development projects and social services to bring productivity and change to the people.

The Prime Minister has assured the residents of Karagwe District that the construction of the hospital will be completed on time and to the standards as funds for the purchase of all medical equipments and radiation equipments have already been allocated.

He said citizens also have a responsibility to monitor the implementation of development projects and provide feedbacks as the projects are implemented with citizens' taxes. "I urge the people to continue to have faith in your government and its leaders," he said.
