The military strengths of Kenya and Uganda

Kenya's Administration police are better equipped than the Tanzanian army.. Kenya's police budget is higher than Tanzanians defense's budget.. so you saying that Tanzania has the best army in East Africa is laughable. Judging by how Amin used to treat his military, its quite easy to conclude that they were demoralized, unpatriotic and poorly trained, so you basing your conclusion that Tanzania had the best army by the war you fought to remove Amin is, to be kind, dumb.

Mkuu hiyo fleet mbona ni aibu tupu?
Aibu compared to who?.., .
Umewahi hata kusoma intelligence ya Kenya kuhusu TPDF?
TPDF has the largest surface to air missles (actually, a close friend of mine is a sandhurst trained missile expert) in east africa together with foot soldiers. Air attacks can be curbed easily with a better artillery brigade.
Nairobi is within Tanzanias reach and it is said that if everything will be executed well, TPDF can walk in Nairobi in a couple of days.
To counter attack, Kenya had to invest heavily in her air force, but with good radars, its gonna be hard to hit Dar but can cripple advancing foot soldiers while their navy is trying to bomb Dar.
Thats the basics.... Im not in the military but I do have friends in military... thats what they told me when I asked'em,.
Dude! even their paramilitary thugs robbing Banks for their leaders were easily gunned down by the cops, they aint sh@t.

Mkuu punguza wasi, hakuna wa kukunyima usingizi hapa EAC hapa chini ni baadhi tu ya vifaa vya jeshi la anga la JWTZ

Kuna undisclosed number ya new F-7 TG jet fighters haziko kwenye list soma hapa chini...
F-7PG_s.jpg

A PAF F-7PG was photographed with a load of fuel tanks and an AIM-9L AAM. Based on the F-7MG electronic technology demonstrator, it features various upgrades to meet PAF's requirements, including a one-piece windshield, Italian Grifo-7PG PD radar (search 55km, track 37km, single target track), new color CRT displays (EFIS), HUD, HOTAS control, new air data computer, TACAN, PL-9C IR-guided AAM, WP-13F(B) turbojet (13,200lb w/ afterburning) plus two 30mm cannons (compared to one on J-7E/G). Its maximum climb rate is 38,300ft/min (195m/s), combat radius is 850km (hi-hi-hi air-superiority role) and maximum load is 1,800kg. The new double-delta wing suggests the same design on J-7E has proven successful. However, since its basic design of Mig-21F has been more than 40 years old, this approach did not fundamentally change the overall performance. Pakistan ordered 57 F-7PGs in early 2000. These F-7PGs have replaced J-6/Mig-19 and will counter India's Mig-21bis/Bison fleet. 48 were delivered to Pakistan by the end of 2002. However, F-7PG might be fitted with the indigenous SY-80 radar (search 30km, track 26km) replacing the Grifo-7PG radar. Besides Pakistani AF, Namibian AF ordered 12 F-7NMs in August 2005. All were delivered in 2006. These are equipped with Italian Grifo-7MG radar. Bangladesh AF also ordered 12 F-7BGs in 2005. All were delivered 2006. In addition, Nigerian AF ordered 12 F-7NIs in a $251m deal and the first batch was expected to have been delivered in spring 2009. Sri Lanka AF also received around 6 F-7GS in late 2007/early 2008. The latest images (March 2011) indicated that Tanzania acquired an unknown number of F-7TGs.

Venezuela reduces number of Chinese K-8 fighter jets to 18
No reason is given for the reduction from 24

K-8 Fighter jet.

By Latin American Herald Tribune Staff
Venezuela has announced that it will purchase only 18 Chinese- made K-8 fighter jets, not 24 as previously announced, according to General Luis Berroterán Acosta, the commander of Venezuela's Bolivarian Air Force.

"The contract has been signed and the jet trainers are on the production line in China. In a short time, I will be able to disclose the exact arrival date of the first K-8 shipment," said Berroterán at a press conference celebrating the 88th anniversary of military aviation.

Each K-8 fighter jet is capable of carrying 4 bombs and rockets, as well as firing a 23mm machine gun.

They carry two pilots in tandem seating and have a maximum speed of just under 500 miles per hour.

The K-8 was developed in the 1980s in a joint project between China and Pakistan. It's maiden flight took place in 1990.

Because of their relative inexpensive cost, they are used by the air forces of China (200), Egypt (80), Ghana (4), Myanmar (12), Namibia (4), Pakistan (100), Sri Lanka (6), Sudan (12), Tanzania (6), Zambia (8), and Zimbabwe (12).

Russia faces tough Chinese competition in the African arms market: report

..."Finally, MiG Corporation was unable to expand into the African market beyond the initial advances it made in the late 1990s. As mentioned above, MiG was able to sell from excess stock a relatively large batch of MiG-29 to Sudan and Eritrea for low prices. By early 2000 it was negotiating the sale of MiG-29 to Chad (four units), Uganda (six) and Tanzania (six fighters)...

Vedomosti reports that the MiG aircraft corporation will sell six MiG-29 fighters to Tanzania for around $50 million. Thus far the Tanzanian Air Force has been using China-made MiG fighters.

A high-ranking Russian diplomat said that the MiG corporation and the Tanzanian Defense Ministry reached an agreement to sell six MiG-29 fighters after the Tanzanian foreign minister's visit to Moscow in July......

My friend, kindly go back to the web page you copied all that stuff...and look at the specifications...ukishamaliza you are allowed to continue with your verbal diarrhea.....!!!!! /*****TUKO IMARA ANGANI..."KENYA AIRFORCE" *****/

I did not have the intention of contributing to this topic.. but for your stupidity i must devote my precious time at least to educate you a little. You are talking as if you are a class two drop out....!!! For your information Ethiopia failed in its mission in Somalia ..yes they drove out the Islamic Courts Union by then under the current Somalia TFG president...but this gave birth to Alshabaab..and they could not continue because of hostility they got from the locals and were forced to withdraw.. and decided to create a buffer zone along their border with Somalia.
Kenya went into Somalia with a mission...our Defence Forces have managed -within 2wks despite the heavy rains-to achieve what ,USA,Ethiopia and Amisom forces have failed to do for a long time..to create order and harmony in Somalia.Already the govt has pledged to not to withraw our forces from Somalia until they achieve this objective. We are doing this not just for Kenya alone but for our brothers and sisters in somalia who for a long time have known anything but war,and for u east africans coz any death of an east african is a great loss to us kenya coz each east african is potential client toone of our products or services..we need you to be alive to make money from you....dead people are not consumers
Museveni has since kept quite from his usual gossips about our military ability coz he thought by fighting a disorganised and poorly armed Amin army in 1979 using poorly trained uneducated young men with the help of Tanzanias forces..that he had gained experience... and fighting kony here and there...But military strengths and experence of an army can not be judged on how many guerella wars that army has fought but how well trained and equiped the army is plus the resources to engage and maintain a warfare ..so far Kenya is the only country with the right to take pride in this....but our dignity and honour does not allow us to steep too low in discussing which army is the best in the region ,we leave that to intellectual dwarfs..and little kids to debate.we are more concerned with our strengthrning out competitiveness in the continent economically.
Its an obvious fact our' RECE 'Squad in our General Service Unity if they decide can sweep clean Museveni Army until Kampala without any sweat....the Kenya Army will be just be counting the spoils behind them..Yes Kenya is poor but you people you are the poorest of the poor....! when you add all budgets of East African Countries..imean tz,ug,rw and burundi cannot not match that of Kenya almost half!!..ua budgets are just peanuts..so you can not dare even to dream engaging in any war with us...we can handle single handendly all the combined forces of this region in a war and still never feel a pinch....sweeping clean without mercy all the "bush boys" of M7 and "policemen in army uniforms"- Tz army-..within a short time and come back ,write a report about that" little excercise" and begin the reconstruction work in ua respective countries.
We are more interested in building our lives..war has its causalties and ordinary people suffer...remember Rwanda,Uganda,Burundi and now Somalia.Tanzanians should know better...you have been hosting refugees from Rwanda and Burundi..any time used to engage in any war is time lost...the reason we are in Somalia as i said it to bring order ,whether they like it or not..we are in control and all the towns captured are handed back to the TFG .We are interested in a stable Somalia..a country we can do business with not handling their refugees.....Eritrea is daring us and they will soon get a dose of their own medicine.
Stop making fun of our military excercise in Somalia.....about Uganda..we cannot fight Uganda coz of a rock .what we get from Uganda is far more better that what migingo brings to us....UG is our greatest trade partner and dont think Ugandans are ****** like you...they know we depend on each other and if we cough the whole region will catch a cold.
Instead of wishing us failure..pray for our success because its also ua sucess ,follow the example of your president because Alshabaad are a threat also you too.If somehow you know how ua economy works you will understand the effect of piracy along our coast has affected the cost of doing business both in Kenya and Tanzania.......all this coz of alshabaab.
Wake up and smell the coffee bro.

Can't cease to amaze me  , don't you think you deserve a ban this time?. How many time should we remind ourselves about this type of derogatory behaviour, you really can't debate issues by using objective analysis? .

If you don't want to hear the fact that your army is small and inexperienced, how will you respond to a professional article like the one below....
Kenya's blundering mission in Somalia:

Article written by Dr. Tendai Marima Ph.D (War Strategist)

Kenya's surprisingly brave march into southern Somalia, which began in mid-October, brings to mind the analogy of Kenya as a clumsy, overgrown, weak-muscled 17-year-old stumbling onto a rainy, muddy battlefield for the very first time. Weighed down by his kalashnikov and ego, he fiddles about to get his aim right, but his younger, more agile, bloodthirsty opponent is already waiting with his weapon cocked and ready to fire.

Until now, independent Kenya had never been to war or led a military intervention into another state. After 20 years of deftly avoiding resurrecting old neighbourly grudges and becoming directly involved in Somalia's war, the Kenyan government finally decided to take the plunge....

I deserve a ban?!!!!!!! why and how?! ..ooh you can do better than this Bantgbro! too emotional...i am only using the language you people can understand..you hail all sort of abuses on Kenya and Kenyans here...do we complain!!?? my analysis are always fair ...you people should style up if you want to get objective analysis here-if u really know what that means- its you to watch your language and attitude towards us ..or else you should not complain when you are given a taste of your own medicine, read carefully the main post i answered and tell me if kajembe was objective! am not complaining.... but i feel you.
The the article above is just an opinion...and we cant depend on it because we had to act.. the cost of inaction outweighs that of action..to protect the integrity and the economy of our beloved great country.....and for your info...this exercise in Somalia is also meant to serve a message to whoever thinks that he can joke with our borders and sovereignty ,when we keep quite does not mean that we are cowards but wise and persevering.... we can handle any situation and challenge that comes our way.....Somalia is just a tip of the ice berg, our Army may be small in number...but we are mighty.Military strength ,might and experience comes as a result of proper training and equipment..eg Israel..they are small i number but they are military giants i the middle east.We know ourselves better.

Tanzania has the best Military in East Africa...no in fact in Africa they even have Inter-continental Ballistic Missiles that can strike Russia easily,Their radar, developed by JWTZ engineers in-collaboration with University of Dar is one of the best.notably it's ability to detect alien spacecrafts.Kenya has the least developed Military in the region with it's armies wearing gum boots her Officers are trained by child soldiers from LRA.

Hivi hamuoni strength ya military ya Kenya tangu February nasikia wanawachakaza sana hao shabab brothers tuchubiri 2015 watakapomaliza vita. Vita chio nchezo wala lelemama.

My hope is that the Kenyan forces can extend some of the air power to our brothers in AMISOM. I don't like the experience the Ugandans have had at the hands of Al Shabab. So far I think Al Shabab realizes the game is up and are on the run; there is a new sheriff in town.
