TGIF. Another school through rap music. Dr Dre, i'm sure you already know the name. What's the difference is a track released in 1999 from his Dre 2001 album.First verse is a summary of his journey to succes, as Jay-z would say 'Lifestory told through rap', and i figure you could learn a thing or 2. Without further ado, let's get to it.

Ice Cube na Lorenzo aka Mc Ren walikuwa ni washkaji na members wa kundi alilokuwa Dre, NWA. Miaka ya 80 NWA walitawala sana, wakati Cube na Ren wanasherekea mafanikio yao kwa kula bata, Dre alikuwa studio anatumia huo muda kukazana na midundo.
Lesson: Priority and sacrifice. Dre aliamua kupotezea starehe na kubaki studio, kupitia studio akakutana na Jimmy, Jimmy akampa headphones, headphones zimempa hela. Midundo imempa heshima na status.

Lesson: Katika harakati za maisha unaweza kutofautiana na watu wako wa karibu, ila haitamaanisha kwamba ni maadui au hawakutakii mema. Mnaweza kutofautiana kwa sababu zilizo nje ya uwezo wenu.

Hapa Dre anawaongelea washkaji zake wengine aliokuwa nao NWA, The D.O.C. na Easy E, wote ambao aliwahi kuwa na tofauti nao katika safari yake ya mafanikio. D.O.C. alipata ajali mbaya sana 1989, alirushwa kupitia dirishani kutoka kwenye gari aliyokuwa akiiendesha, akaenda kugonga uso kwenye mti, alipona baada ya muda na plastic surgery za maana ila rap career yake ikaishia hapo. Easy alifariki baada ya kuumwa, aligundulika kuwa muathirika wa UKIMWI. Japo Dre alimaliza tofauti zake na hawa jamaa, ila ilikuwa kinda late.
Lesson: Fanya juhudi kumaliza tofauti zako na watu wako wa karibu na walio na nafasi muhimu katika maisha yako, kwa sababu unaweza usipate nafasi nyingine ya kufanya hivyo.

Lesson: The fact kwamba haupo karibu na watu wako kama zamani, jamii lazima itajaribu kuingiza mitazamo yao. Usiwape nafasi.

Hapa Dre anamuongelea mshakji wake mwingine ambaye alitoka nae toka World Class Wrekin' Crew, Dj Yella. Wakati Dre anaondoka NWA, Yella alibaki Ruthless Records kwa Easy, na akawa anaongea mambo ya ajabu kwenye interviews kuvutia upande wake. Yella alichemka kwenye muziki baadae, akawa mtayarishaji na muongozaji wa muvi za kiutu uzima.
Lesson: Baadhi ya marafiki au watu wanaokuzunguka hawana manufaa katika maisha, na sio wote utakaokuwa na tofauti nao lazima mzimalize. Wengine wakitoka kwenye circle yako, ni Baraka kwako.

Lesson: Jamii inaongea vitu vingi isivyovifahamu, kama binadamu yeyote utasikia tu, ila uimara na ushindi wako dhidi yao utadhihirika kama utaamua kutovipa umuhimu vyote visivyo na ukweli.
