- However: nikatoka mle ninajiuliza how nice could it be kuwaona mafisadi wetu bongo wakiwa kwenye msoto kama yule mzee kwa kuvuruga trust ya wananchi na taifa!

Bill Malecela, this is yet another mark of high quality - THE POWER OF SEEING, REASONING, AND ETERNALISING ABOUT A PHENOMENON OR SIMPLY YOU HAVE DEMONSTRATED A RARE TRAIT OF DEDUCTIVE THINKING - the mark is never common in many not even the most travelled souls from our continent. Many learnet Tanzanias go places, see many things, forget everything good and only device a better way to rob the public of her megre resources to keep at a safe bank in the west - how selfish and demonish!!

They, instead, would often be seeing many things, admire many things, smile at many things just as much as they likewise about them in their numbers and with the same speed with which things come on sight.

A few weeks ago, I read with much delight and appreciation an article put across by one political analyst, Maggid Mjengwa. Many thanks Mjengwa, it was such a masterpiece to the same level as those by gurus like Karl Lyimo or Jenerali Ulimwengu, though many never seem to appreciate its originality and the cool-mind behind. Most interesting note again, the young writer works under the latter pen-pushing general; huts of for your selfless mentoring Mzee Ulimwengu!

He was particularly up-in-arms about some MPs trend that once voted out of office they dare un-pluck even a mere Tsh 2,000/- curtain off the walls as a demonstration of disapproval at wananchi's verdict on them at the ballot box.

One could easily tell that the pen-chanter may have turned red and even at a big loss upon remembering that a guy of a cheerful age and longstanding stay in the Western Civilisation as Mr Laurance Masha could equally just go so low just like any other otherwise 'barbaric-by-nature' village councillor by even undoing the MPs' office door shutters, curtains, carpets and fittings like that. I still just wish the never happened at all or a sheer accident of some kind that Lau will at some point in time seek to open-up about before journalists.

Well, what this village writer, just like myself a Tanzanian village reader down here, stopped short of telling us was that Laus was not any better than Iringa's Monica Mbega, our unlucky mother always around with us within the country, who equally unluckily lost her seat and then vented her anger at office utilities just in a similar way. At the backgrounds of age difference on would easily forgive Mama Mbega that she perhaps needed the stuff much at home but not Lau.

Since that time I realised some of the most dearly paid for tickets flying to the west are no bigger deal different from someone travelling on a similar document from Bukombe to Kahama township as many have since learnt to fly high like eagles in the skies but hardly learn a thing, change or seek to implement it for our general good back home!!

I greatly love the way you travelled, in the course of your job out there, saw, appreciated with great interest and is now selflessly sharing it all with us. That most striking contrast of 'Equal-Step' Administration of Justice in the west as the perpetual selective treatment of 'SACRED COWS' daily stealing from us and tomorrow continue walking shoulder-high chest-thumbing their vice for a virtue as 'MIMI FISADI ORIGINAL' kind of takes can well be BRIDGED for a better nation and the Tanzania that we really want today than yesterday

No the big question comes: how do we achieve this in our neighbourhoods here in Africa? And all eyes turn on a dire need to have a very good constitution, behavioural change and fair administration of justice at all times. Let each one of us play a part from now on for a greater Tanzania full of people that live their full lives as their own styles, means and choosing.

That is how the part marked red above touched the intellectual part of me Bill.

How come polisi aliyelewa anaweza kukuzuia usiendeshe ukiwa umelewa? Bosi mwizi anaweza kuzuia wasaidizi wake wasiibe? Hakimu mla rushwa anaweza kuhukumu kwa haki?

A corruption court in Indonesia has sentenced a relative of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to four and a half years in jail.
Aulia Pohan, a former central banker, was found guilty of approving illegal payments to members of parliament.
Pohan's daughter is married to President Yudhoyono's son, and his corruption trial has been closely watched by many Indonesians.
Indonesia often ranks as one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
Many ordinary people wondered whether one of the president's relatives would escape a harsh sentence.
But the final verdict - four and a half years in jail and a $20,000 fine - has been seen as a step in the right direction for the judiciary.

Former Israeli president convicted on rape charges

A former president of Israel, Moshe Katsav, has been convicted of rape, sexual harassment, committing an indecent act while using force, harassing a witness and obstruction of justice.

The eight president is now a convicted sexual offender after a historical verdict in the Tel Aviv District Court.

Katsav is expected to receive substantial jail time after the court accepted testimony from complainants that the defendant was a bully, a liar and a repeat sexual predator.

The decision of the three-judge panel in the Tel Aviv District Court was unanimous.

After the verdict was read by Judge George Kara, Katsav, 65, was allowed to return to his home in Kiryat Malachi, pending sentencing.

The court has issued an injunction forbidding him to leave the country and has ordered the former president to hand over his passport to the police.

Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori has been sentenced to 25 years in jail for ordering killings and kidnappings by security forces.


At the end of a 15-month trial, judges found him guilty of two death-squad killings of 25 people during the conflict with guerrillas in the 1990s.
