Tanzania's hopes of becoming an exporter of natural gas face fresh delays after the country's opposition refused to participate in further talks to rewrite the constitution.
The constitutional review, which campaigners have likened to a "small revolution", is key to Royal Dutch Shell's hopes of searching for hydrocarbons in Tanzania's Zanzibar archipelago.......

ha ha ha! The gas pipeline has already reached Dar es salaam. Before 2015 we will start power generation and domestic use and before 2017 we will be selling gas and electricity to u Kenyans as per your official request.

Leave us to do what we feel like. In the same breathe do what you fancy and we meet along the way. I wonder why it bothers you what we do. If we choose to strip naked that will be up to us.

Negative? Is there anything negative in this report? It only says delay and this is not to say it cannot happen. In Kenya too we face many delays owing various reasons such as lack of cash, bureucracy, legislation etc. I wonder whether i would call all these delays negative. One thing though is that a gas export from Tanzania will benefit Kenya also. Uganda's oil exports have faced similar delays too and have now been pushed forward to 2018 at the earliest. Do we say this is negative too without looking at the reasons for the delay?
