Granted, it'll likely be years before any real conclusions can be made, let alone actual faster-than-light tests - not to mention that accelerating matter and accelerating light are two entirely different things. That being said, NASA could seriously be onto something huge...something that could end up redefining how mankind looks at space travel.

Indeed "Space Time" dimension will redefine the future of understanding of the universe.

​Hey mwaswast am among the few who loves the subject. First off, unless a new means of energy is invented like i dunno much more stable and efficient nuclear cores and warp drives HUMANS WILL NEVER GET CLOSE TO THOSE SPEEDS. And if somewhat we do, oh boy that will be a major change in human history for i believe the speed holds something with time and inter dimensional travels (call me crazy). Bout life on other planets, tho it kind of goes against religious norms i'd like to believe so. Hundreds of thousands of earth like planets i mean the odds of having other life forms is just too great.

there is life out there! i love the subject...... in 1950's people said we would never travel beyond the speed of sound and there was a lot of speculation what might happen if we would manage to do that well it happen.... we end up with sonic boom etc after jets breaks sound barrier! naamin we will do it huko mbele and hence we can find another home for man kind.

theoretically the world can hold people comfortably if we were 5bil and the limit for it to hold people with so much strain and conflicts of resources is 9bil we are 7bil heading toward that upper class limit!

this should be global mankind initiative to find another home for mankind!

Its true but this is different i mean even the physics it self restricts physical matter from moving at these high speeds. I dunno tho i have an open mind hopefully by the year 1200000 something will be invented. :biggrin1:
All in all given nearby planet (in habitable zone is several thousand LY away) we better stay focused on using the resources we have better than staying focused to colonizing an exoplanet cause it aint happening anytime soon.

I believe before the end of this century some achievements will be available considering if you move at the speed of light the next stop is the future. For now we just need to put our resources to better use and just forget interstellar travel.
