Great minds discuss ideas...not people.

Ukitaka kummaliza January basi anza kwa kujibu hiii mini thesis yake ndio tutajua kama tunao GREAT THINKERS....its easy kumshambulia mtu personally bila kujibu hoja alizoweka na what we need is counter arguments to the facts presented above.

I don´t see any "magic bullet" in his his thesis; such wonderful plans have always been there. Shelves in the government offices are full of such "strategic plans". What we lack is not the ideas on how best to do it, but the good faith of the people who have been entrusted to guard and administer our resources.

This is just another piece of wonderful but empty talk. Put it in other words, January Makamba is plausible but not persuasive, he is probably creative but not convincing in part because he lacks the courage to address and fight the real root cause of the problem - CORRUPTION!

We all know that disintegration and private mode of operations would ideally boost up TANESCO´s performance incredibly, but so corrupt as the government is, even the process of splitting and IPO will be sabotaged by the same THIEVES who have been stealing our resources all these years.

SOLUTION: All that we need are political leaders with good faith, who are deeply ashamed of the extreme poverty of our people, and are real determined to serve Tanzanians. I don´t see anyone in CCM who real qualifies on this criterion, except a few who pretend to be smart and nice guys by making amazing speeches and cannot put into action any of what they preach. CCM must to go; we don´t need impressive proposals as this of Makamba any more, we are fed up of empty talks; we need people who can genuinly and faithfully ACT.
In that statement hapo juu naona two things:
1. a contradiction. Unasema EXCEPT xyz, then tena unasema they can't practice what they preach
2. Alternative: Umewasema wa CCm hawana hiyo profile unayo itaka, naomba unitjie a few people, wanasiasa au leaders in other fields who have those qualities.
Binafsi bado JM namkubali sana. He is also limited, but katika leaders, nadhani he is ahead of many, many others katika ku-practice what he preaches. Sema ni ngumu kwake ku-attack institutions and policies because he is part of the government.

Intelligent ones tell a few lines but they mean better, explainable and easily understood. Many words spinning words like this story of statistics and not short critical solutions are just an indicator to the deliver's small IQ. maneno kibao, anazunguka zunguka tu.

JF ya zamani Itoke wapi? Hii ni 2013 mkuu, tunaenda na wakati Tunajadili suti, tunajadili upara wake.
We can even speculate on marashi gani atakua alipulizia alipo piga picha, na why blue tie and not red.
Another good point ni kuuliza kwanini wameweka picha ya zamani? huo mkutano hapakua mpiga picha?
Then tuulizane kama alisoma hivyo vitabu vyote nyuma yake au kaweka tu kama decoration picha ipendeze?
Kujadili hoja is sooooo last season! it is oldfashioned, na ni kutafuta sifa tu bure. (souce: Mimi mwenyewe!)

Sawa kabisa! whatever is well conceived is clearly said... and the words to say it flow with ease. ~ Nicolas Boileau
Unavosema ni kama aliongea bila kujua anachoongelea. IMO, sio kweli! Sasa basi sema na wewe your short and clear point on the energy problems faced by Tanzania. Maana kwa tatizo lilivyo kubwa, naona kama he was short and clear. He exposed the problem, then the solutions, challenges and some strategies to overcome them. I agree kua from a government official we expected more update on what has been done by his government than an exposé on problems and potential solutions, but that is another question.
Wewe kama wewe Mshinga, what do you have to say about the topic? Please be shorter and clearer

Unamkubali kwa lipi au kwa yepi?

Namkubali kwqa sababu nyingi tu. Right now I can think of a few (nitaendelea ku-update as i think of more, if I still remember where to find this thread):
1. naamini ana akili (My definition of it being "a broad database of pertinent knowledge, coupled with analytical skills and a relative facility to convey the results of his analysis")
2. He is able to work in a group/Institution but at the same time promote a personal agenda based on his vision
3. He has many initiatives (projects/policies/ideas) benefiting people in rural areas.
4. He is relatively open minded and welcomes constructive criticisms.

There was no such thing as JF in 2003/04.

Hahahahaha BUSTED!
Mi niliona but then nikakaa zangu kimya maana hata hiyo ya 2007 siijui!
so I was like mmmhhh... maybe it existed as a mailgroup? kuna mengi sijui.

Mwali, could you please tell us anything that he has been able to achieve/accomplish thus far.

Okay

1. naamini ana akili (My definition of it being "a broad database of pertinent knowledge, coupled with analytical skills and a relative facility to convey the results of his analysis")

Kafanya nini kukuaminisha kwamba ana akili? Na ana akili kiasi gani? Matokeo ya akili zake ni yepi? Na akili kushinda wengine?

2. He is able to work in a group/Institution but at the same time promote a personal agenda based on his vision

Do you have any evidence of this?

3. He has many initiatives (projects/policies/ideas) benefiting people in rural areas.

What is many? What are they? And how have they benefited people in rural areas? And which rural areas are you talking about? Ikungulyabashashi or where exactly? Can you name 100 people who are not his relatives who have benefited?

4. He is relatively open minded and welcomes constructive criticisms.

Relative to whom and in what? Others don't welcome constructive criticisms?

Well said .... gas is the way, private sector where government need not to exhaust her resources but seller should be TANESCO

Okay

Kwanza: niseme kua mimi SIO msemaji wa Hon. JM. I said namkubali, I don't have to prove it. I believe I have my own (objective or subjective) criterias ambazo nimeziweka hapo.

Pili: kuhusu akili yake nimeweka definition YANGU ya akili na naamini he fits that definition.

Tatu: kuhusu hizo evidences za achievement, naomba umtafute google, usome achievements zake na ikibidi uconduct baseline survey in his constituency, in his office, in his party, in his neighborhood na kuingine ambapo as a leader he is expected to have an impact. Depending on the criteria you set, you might be able to measure whether or not he has made a positive impact.

Nne: Mimi nimesema He can work in an institution and still promote his personal agenda sababu namuona akifanya hivo, being mfanyakazi wa serikali, and still be a leader with his own views and agenda.

Tano: Umeniomba 100 people benefiting from his initiatives, siwezi kuwataja. Why 100 and not 1, or 1M? furthermore, It might not be a directly visible benefit. think about this: if he shares his idea on social security with vinyozi wa ilala, then wakajiunga na wakachangia, na hatimaye wakafaidi health insurance, how do you measure this? He doesn't empower people through a paternalistic approach ambapo beneficiaries wanabaki kumtegemea. He does it through so many ways. Kama hapa he has made a good speech on energy, kuna CEO anaweza kua kafaidi na hizi explanations zake.

Sita: Ninaposema relatively open minded and welcoming criticism ni in relation to other MPs.

kwa kumaliza kabisa, I (unfortunately) can't restrict anyone in the way anachangia thread, but I can decide about how binafsi nachangia. as much as I enjoy talking about him, nadhani inatosha. Mi naendelea kujadili hoja. People started talking about him, I came in to express my (different) views, then you asked me why. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express and explain my position. Nilipokea swali na I have responded. In a separate thread itakua vizuri uwaulize na hao wanao mpinga wanampinga kwa lipi, na wajieleze kama nilivyo jieleza mimi. kwa sasa mi naendelea na mjadala wa thread hii.
