Request For Expression Of Interest For Provision of Security Services To The Mining Site Reference No Ljl-2024-04 Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project

LINDI JUMBO LIMITED (‘’the Company”) is a registered Tanzanian mining and exploration company currently constructing the Lindi Jumbo Graphite Mine in the Ruangwa District of south-eastern Tanzania. The mines construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed by Q1 2024, with production anticipated to commence in Q2 2024. We cordially invite experienced and reputable security service providers to express their interest in providing security services for the Lindi Jumbo Graphite Mine.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The Company is currently in search of security service providers who have a proven track record of providing reliable and effective security services in the mining industry. We invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified, experienced security service providers who meet our stringent selection criteria.

It is our objective to engage security service provider(s) who have demonstrated a high level of competency in the mining industry. Our company is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our operations, and we recognize the importance of working with experienced and qualified professionals to achieve this goal.

REQUIREMENTS:

We invite companies/organizations which are interested to submit their request in writing. Please ensure that your request includes the following:
  1. Updated company profile.
  2. Company Code of Conduct and Ethics
  3. Copy of Current Business Permit and Trade license
  4. Copy of the Incorporation Certificate, the most recent BRELA search, and the latest BRELA application of annual return.
  5. Copy of Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), TIN Certificate and VRN certificate
  6. Copy of company memorandum and article of association
  7. Compliance with Mining Act-Approved Local Content Plan.
  8. Clearance report/statement from the national police department.
  9. Capability Statement (A short statement from your bank or recognized financiers demonstrating the company’s financial capacity.
  10. Copy of certificates of accreditation with other operations.
  11. Having adequate experience in providing security to the mining areas
  12. List of Insurances.
  13. Have maximum professional security specialists on their panel of employees, preferably with a focus on the mining sector.
  14. Previous experience in handling stretched operations in mining scenarios across more than three locations.
  15. Statement on developing adequate logistics for security services, patrolling, and quick reaction teams, including vehicles and establishment of camps. Good / demonstrated knowledge of local conditions/environment prevailing in the area of operations.
  16. Commitment and capability to adhere to the company’s high health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
  17. Health and Safety Policy
  18. Have a training facility and a formal syllabus for the training of the guards, etc.
Companies that have the ability, capacity, and resources to implement the service mentioned above should express their interest by sending together the documents stated in the above section through an email to info@lj.co.tz (Max email size 20 MBs); all documents must be submitted in English Language on or before 24:00hrs East African Time (EAT) on 06th March 2024. The subject of the email should be “EOI LJL-2024-04-COMPANY NAME”.

Lindi Jumbo Limited will review and assess the documents provided by companies that have expressed interest in accordance with this EOI and conduct evaluations based on internal criteria to determine which companies will be included in the list of pre-qualified companies. Only the pre-qualified companies will receive, by signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), an invitation to bid as a continuation of the call for tender process. Lindi Jumbo Limited is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender offer received, and the adjudication of the tender will be based solely on the discretion of the Company, with consideration given to both qualification and commercial aspects.
