#Breaking: LaLiga to be rebranded with a new name and new sponsor.
- According to El País, Banco Santander has reached an agreement with LaLiga to become the Spanish top flight's new sponsor, with an official announcement over the deal expected in the next few days.
- El País report that the Spanish bank will pay less than BBVA did for privilege of becoming the league's official sponsors, and that LaLiga had other offers from possible patrons such as Samsung, but preferred to opt for a Spanish brand.
Madrid's board want to reward Lucas Vazquez for his attitude and his performances, while the club committed to renewing Keylor Navas' deal a while ago.
Vazquez, a Madrid youth product, has a salary of just €1m per year, which is not consistent with the role he played last term. Keylor gets €2m a season, but that will increase to €3m.
Gabriel Jesús has signed a pre-contract with Real Madrid, according to Italian sources.
