One of the biggest pros of Zidane is that he'll improve our midfield, specially James and Isco. Who better than Zidane to teach them?

Match Analysis:
Real Madrid kicked off Zizou's era with a 5 goal fest against a not so bad Deportivo.They do not play like a minnow anymore and have been in good form recently.Deportivo had just lost one game aeay from their home until today against Villareal and had taken a point from Camp Nou too, so they were definitely not an easy opponent.
But Real Madrid played well and our attacking wealth created dozens of chances for our forwards.
DEFENCE:
Carvajal-Pepe-Ramos-Marcelo started at the back today and Carvajal showed us what had we missed in the past few weeks. That guy is arguable one of the best RB talents in the world and he had a great 1st game coming after an injury.Pepe was shaky in the first half but he had a very good second half to make up for his rustiness in the opening half.Ramos,who had covered up for all the mistakes of Pepe in the first half couldn't make it to the second half for reasons unknown,I hope it was a tactical change and he is not injured because IMO at that time if Varane was to be brought on, Pepe was the guy who should have been subbed out.Anyways Zizou definitely knows more than me and there must have been some reason behind that.Varane played well for a guy who came on after shaking after an injury and looked a bit rusty but he will be back to his old good form once he gets back in full swing.Marcelo was good as always,that guy plays his heart out for Madrid.Keylor made some pretty decent saves and punches too.CARVAJAL was the main man of our defence tonight.
MIDFIELD:
Coming on to the midfield 3,Isco,Modric and Kroos started for Real Madrid with Modric and Kroos sitting a bit behind Isco.I will like to appreciate Isco's willingness to constantly track back and help Marcelo in the defence.He really wanted to make most of the opportunity for tonight's start ahead of James.Kroos and Modric deputised the Madrid midfield exceptionally well and kept the possession and balance in the favour of Real Madrid. Kroos was spot on with his passing and Modric kept teasing Deportivo players and opening the play for BBC with his penetrating runs.That guy is class.It's a tough call but I think Modric performed better than the rest two midfielders tonight.James came on for Isco in the second half and was good with his chance creation, he will get better with time after adjusting to new team philosophy.
ATTACK:
BBC played like their old selves and man,what a game they had.Benzema opened the scoring for Real Madrid with Bale scoring a hattrick and Benzema scoring the fifth for Madrid. Ronaldo played well,worked hard,had a good game but was too unlucky to not score a goal tonight.He was denied by the post once and by the keeper twice.Bale's performance tonight deserves to be mentioned specially.He has surely learnt a thing or two from Ronaldo about pin point finishing and scoring awesome headers! When Bale joined Real Madrid he was seen as a winger and not like a guy who could head the ball into the net with accuracy despite of his 6ft+ frame.But he has been scoring headers constantly and has emerged as a heading force to reckon for the opponets.Now the opposition defence needs to mark Bale,Benzema,Ronalod,Ramos and Pepe on every set piece and I think no team has so many players capable of heading the ball.So this should become a strength for Real Madrid in the coming months.Bale also made an exceptional tackle to deny Deportivo a consolation goal and was active in tracking back to win the ball.
3 important points and a cleansheet for Real Madrid tonight. Hope the team keeps on playing like this and plays for the honor of the White Crest.Zidane must be a happy man tonight.Bernabeu was getting behind the team and the atmosphere there was awesome after a long time.

What a debut for Zizou. We still woulda hammered Depor, even without a Coach tho.
That team is still miles away from being in a good shape. Zizou brought back the spirit, except he's working with a lotta wacks. Defence is terrible. Cristiano and Bale can only offer goals vs weaker sides and drama.
Only good thing for Zizou is the fact the whole world love him, and they'd anything to help him.
