MAN OF THE MATCH

Headed to the start of the liga, I've noticed a handful concerns from yesternight's game. We may have outclassed them, but they are Manchester United, not an elite team(no offense). Just some flaws that shouldn't worry us so much, but enough to keep us humble.

Goalkeeping was a bit annoying. Keylor maintained his terrible footwork, smashing balls whenever he received those back passes and hoping for the best. Only few times he was able to make a good pass. But main concern from Keylor yesternight, was his spilling the ball to the center where traffic is at. Twice he did so, and they made us pay once, missing the other thanks to the robotic quality of Lukaku.

Defence.

Our defence in general played an awful game. It's leader Ramos is clearly not at his physical best, as he was uncharacteristically bullied quite a few times in aerial duels with Lukaku and later Fellaini. He also was slow in reading the game, and United's goal was part his fault as he was caught sleeping when Lukaku went after the rebound. I'm sure he'll pick up with time.

Varane was his usual quiet self. Didn't put a foot wrong exactly, but wasn't involved as he was supposed to. With his height and intelligence, I expected him to have neutralized the threat Fellaini possessed when United opted for the long balls. Anyway, that's Varane.

Marcelo was also his usual self defensively, not so reliable, and we suffered more because his covering partner Ramos was off color too. He wasn't in his steroid usual offensive mode either. His performance in general was just ok, and I'm sure he'll pick up with time as well.

Carvajal has been and continued to be poor since pre-season. They toyed with him a few times, specially when Rashford came on, and he lacked sharpness in decision making. He is partly at fault for the goal we conceded as he failed to clear the ball and lost to Fellaini. His offensive aspect wasn't as bad. I know for a fact he'll come around with time.

Midfield.

As usual, they were on track. Nothing worrying about them. They are ones carrying the team, they have been for some time now.

Attacking.

So many concerns here. Benzema was good with his role as a play-making striker, his movements and decisions were impressive for the most part. Bale was active which is a good sign, but almost useless and rusty. BBC are our biggest weakness, as they're often awful as they come.

All in all, like I have been saying over and over again, this team's biggest quality is adjusting accordingly. We have our weaknesses, but I'm expecting a lot of great moments in the coming season.

Apparently, this was the summary from Man United's scouts on Isco back in 2013. Jajaja you can't make this stuff up.

Sergio Yuy just suffered a knee injury representing Spain. Fingers crossed it's not as serious as it looks, we need him badly.

Given it's a Thursday and we'll be playing barcelona in 2 days, I'll throw it back to when we had a visitor who claimed he/she was living just 10 minutes from barcelona's stadium which she mentioned it as "Nou Camp". I have never come across a cule who was...."okay", but that one elevated it.

Salamander do you remember that?

it would have been wise if you had thrown this back when Messi was crowned king of the Bernabeu

Kovacic, Asensio, BBC... Zidane faces a puzzle for the Camp Nou

The surprise revelation that Luka Modric's three year old suspension will be enacted on Real Madrid's Supercopa de Espana first leg this Sunday has opened up a big gap in Zinedine Zidane's plans.

A selection headache has now been created as the coach must decide who to replace the Croatian and how far to stray from his original plans.

After a strong pre-season, Mateo Kovacic may be the natural replacement for countryman Modric, continuing his form from the USA with his busy style well suited to a Clasico.

Marco Asensio will have something to say about that, especially as he seeks to continue his record of scoring on his debut in major finals.

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo is lurking in the background with intent to realign Real's BBC frontline that has been absent since the final Clasico of last season, on April 23.

However the winger only managed ten minutes of the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday night and is unlikely to be ready for a starting berth.

Kovacic, therefore, is the logical option, but logic and Madrid do not always go hand in hand as the prestige of silverware on top of a Clasico emphasises a tough decision for Zidane.

Man up-whats this about changing ID`s every other second-tormented by your inner soul-Gwajima would be of help

Come on now, stick to the topic. Me changing ID has nothing to do with what brought us here, does it? Besides, I think it's allowed, coz I asked JamiiForums and they did it for me.
