Tunachokijua(what we know):

Uganda's Tooro Kingdom has been in a period of intense upheaval following the death of Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who died in the United States on August 27, 2026, at age 34, after reigning for more than three decades since ascending the throne at age three in 1995.

He was buried at the Karambi Royal Tombs on September 12, 2026. His death triggered a contested succession battle between the Babiito clan elders, who have moved to install Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma as king.

Karuzika is a real, physical royal residence located on Karuzika Hill in Fort Portal, serving as the official seat of the Tooro monarch, with the original structure built in the early 20th century and later renovated.

Palace items were seen being loaded onto lorries for removal, with some observers alleging the Queen Mother ordered it though her direct involvement was not independently confirmed

Claim:

A video circulating on X shows a large, curved pink multi-storey building sitting on a heavy-duty multi-axle trailer truck on an open road, captioned "queen mother is not for the weak" / "abikoze team baby oyo juu." The framing implies the Queen Mother had the entire Karuzika Palace building physically lifted and hauled away on a trailer.

Findings:

Jamiicheck found out that The image/video is AI-generated using Hive Moderation tool. An AI-image-detection check on the picture returned a 78.7% likelihood of being AI-generated and 0% likelihood of being a manipulated "deepfake" of a real photo.

No mainstream Ugandan outlet (New Vision, Daily Monitor,) reports the palace building being transported anywhere.

Verdict: False

The claim that the Queen Mother "lifted" Karuzika Palace and moved it to a new location on a trailer is false.
