A sudden and dramatic five-minute downpour, accompanied by powerful winds, swept through Karuzika Royal Palace in Fort Portal City earlier today, disrupting mourning activities as hundreds gathered to pay their final respects to the late Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.

The storm sent palm trees bending violently and rain lashing parked vehicles across the palace grounds, creating a tense and unsettling scene as mourners scrambled for shelter.

The sudden weather change occurred amid similar heavy rainfall across the wider Fort Portal region.

But for some Batooro elders and kingdom loyalists, the timing of the storm was chilling. While some interpreted it as the heavens mourning the fallen monarch, others viewed it as a sign that King Oyo was not happy with what was happening around his final farewell.

King Oyo, who died aged 34, is lying in state at Karuzika Palace ahead of his burial on September 12.

What evidence do you have to prove that the storm was caused by the deceased, or that it was a message from him?
