( I write in English because our "neighbors" don't speak Kiswahili)
( Any correction is welcome, my English is poor, my Kiswahili is poor) :wink2:
🙂 (Tanzanians) + :yell: ("neighbors") =
🙂( we are happy).
Fellow Tanzanians, we have to be proud.
To be proud of what we are: Tanzanian first, African and people of the beautiful country in the world, yes the beautiful country in the world.
Let me explain:
1) Tanzania is one of the biggest country in Africa, oh I forgot the BIGGEST in EAC because our "neighbors" forgot this;
2) The only country in the world which has :
- The LONGEST lake in the world : Lake Tanganyika, by the way the second deepest and largest lake in the world;
- The second biggest continental lake in the world: Lake Victoria, by the way the LARGEST lake in Africa;
- The second deepest and third largest lake in Africa: Lake Nyasa.
3) We have the highest mountain in Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro. Yes, yes, it is our mountain.
4) The most friendly and happy people ;
5) We help our brothers and sisters in the southern Africa to get their independence;
6) Finally to finish, there is a lot, we are the link between the southern Africa with the central and east Africa.
We may have differences in politics, religion or whatever you want but: Hekima,Umoja na Amani ndio ngao zetu.
I know there is CCM, CHADEMA, CUF and so on, we have experienced two bomb blast in Arusha, some problems in Zanzibar etc. , but we have to remember that it is Tanzanian who build the country and it is Tanzanian who destroy it: we have to continue to love each other and to be united when a foreigner (" our neighbors") spit on us.
Tanzania now is up on the stage and everyone look us, some are happy, some are not: they are jealous, very jealous: Kenya & Rwanda.
WHY ?
A) Kenya
Kenyans, our "lovely" neighbor, every time say that their country is the engine of EAC or one of the engines of Africa, yes it is true but the question is :
1)
Is everybody enjoying it ? I think No, the number of poor people in Kenya is the same like in Tanzania.
2)
So, why Kenyans say like this ? For me, Kenyans mix two things:
a) To be proud that they have richest people or they have big industries and;
b) The idea that, something belongs to a Kenyan, belongs to all Kenyans.
Kenyans, you have to make a difference between
ONE Kenyan and
ALL Kenyans:
- Yes you have big industries but it is few people who control it and enjoy it,
- Yes you have a big GDP but there is a long way to do to take out all Kenyans from poverty,
- Yes you TRY to speak English but it is not all Kenyans who know to speak English and do not forget where you come from: you are African and you have to promote and be proud of your African language. Don't say that development comes with English, look South Korea or Japan, they are proud of their language and they are a superpower.
Kenyans don't lie us (Tanzanians) that you live better than us, only God knows.
Look this Kenyan (
Chris Kirubi turns down Obama invite - YouTube, he tries to compare Tanzanian like poor people. Shame on you Chris Kirubi, Tanzania is rich and Tanzania is the CENTER of EAC, please don't lie. I may understand you don't want to come to Tanzania to meet Obama because he is not coming in Kenya, but to say that Kenya is the center of ALL THESE COUNTRIES, this is a joke my dear.
Look at this is another Kenyan (
Why skipping Kenya in Obama Visit is a big deal - #NewsdeskPlus - YouTube ) , the journalist asks him why a big issue Obama decides to go in Tanzania and not in Kenya ? Guess the answer, because Kenya is the only country in Africa where there is UN offices and Kenya is the biggest influence of regional politics !!!! What? Are you kidding me ? Sorry, but this is a very stupid analysis.
3)
Is Kenya has a big influence in the region ? Here we are with the problem i mention above: You, Kenyans, mix
your region and
our region of influence.
The question is:
Which region ? Kenyans deliberately forget where Tanzania has its area of influence, it is not the East Africa ( Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan), NO, NO.
But Tanzania has/have influence and is respected by all the southern African countries ( you know the history I think).
You, Kenyans, have to make a difference between
your region of influence (by the way, all these countries of your region are not democratic ) and
our region of influence ( the Southern Africa where you can get only democratic countries). Which means that, yes Kenya influence Somalia, South Sudan, maybe Uganda (not Ethiopia) but Tanzania influence its region and maybe Uganda and so on.
Something where Kenyans beats Tanzanians, and you can be happy, is the propaganda in their media ? Kenyans are very active in the media but if you compare with Tanzanian media, what a shame ? Am proud of your media.
B) Rwanda
For me, in the coming days or months, the situation will change.
Kagame, when he came into power, what did he do ?
He wants to use the same technics like Jews. Yes Jews were killed by Germans and they get support around the world because they were exterminated, but Rwandan Tutsi were killed by Rwandan Hutu and not by anyone else. He goes around the world to lie that the world didn't do anything in the genocide so that the international community must help him and close the eye when he kills thousand of people in the DRC.
How is it possible ?
The problem is that he wants to write his own story, for me there is genocide of humanity only: genocide of Tutsi in Rwanda killed by Hutu, genocide of Hutu in refugee camps in DRC and Congolese in their own country DRC killed by Tutsi.
If we see how Rwandans treats us (Tanzanians), is the same like Kenyans treats us (Tanzanians).
They use the same arguments and have the same problems like Kenyans:
1) They try to speak only English ;
2) They are proud of their performance with economy, which is good, but the Rwandans suffer a lot like ordinary Tanzanians, Kenyans and so on.
3) They are very proud of their country when it is well placed in some economic index, like doing business index, but when it's for democracy, they ignore it, like Kenyans do.
By the way, Tanzania is well ranked in the democracy and peace index.
Why all these writings ?
I was shocked to hear that Kenyan, Rwandan and Ugandan presidents were in Uganda to discuss business and trade between EAC and they didn't invite my RAIS OF TANZANIA and Burundi's president. They think that Tanzania and Burundi are nothing compare to them ?
How can we talk EAC , integration , common money if there is a rivalry ?
Something i don't understand is that they want to build a pipeline and a railway from Rwanda to Kenya (which is an a long route for Rwanda).
Rwanda wants to show his " muscles" or want to ignore Tanzania ( because we propose that he must talk with his rebels) and build his pipeline and railway without passing in Tanzania! He wants to show that he has friends in the region.
If we analyze the situation, having a pipeline or a railway passing in two countries is too dangerous than having a pipeline or railway passing only in one country because dealing with one country is very different than dealing with two countries ( I think you know the problem between Russia-Ukraine-EU, it is the same problem).
Uganda is on his problem of succession, they don't know what tomorrow will be.
When Obama decides to come to Tanzania, oh my God, Kenyans were not happy. Why ? Why to reduce all Tanzanians ? Because you are jealous.
Tanzanians have their values that they don't have and Thanks God we are proud of it and help us to continue like this .
All I want to say is that Tanzanian has to continue to unite, it is not the time to show our neighbors our problems. When we do that, they are very happy.
PS: I will agree with my fellow Tanzanians that the situation in the country has changed but I think we can be proud of where we come from, and pray God to help us solving our problem between us. The situation in our country is much much better than in our neighbors.
UPDATE 1 June 26, 2013:
1) Watch this video :
TRIPARTITE PRESIDENTIAL LIVE PRESS CONFERENCE 2013 - NTV UGANDA LIVE STREAM - YouTube , how evasive they are ?
2) I think it is interesting to reminder that China's President visited Tanzania this year, we have Obama coming soon
And that our RAIS OF TANZANIA was, with the South Africa's president, the only president who had a meet with
Japanese's prime minister.
The analysis of the situation when EAC will begin to breaks out .
If you see what is happening now in the world USA and EU will begin discussion for a free market, this EAC was/is supported by both: USA, EU.
So how can we say that EAC will continue to exist without Tanzania ? Tanzania is the second economy ($ 23 billion) , Kenya the first ( $ 33 billion) , Uganda and Rwanda respectively ( $ 16 billion , $ 6 billion ) (by the way for Burundi is $ 2 billion) . So you may be excited to do 16 billion + 6 billion = 22 billion --> which you have the same GDP of Tanzania.
Ok is true.
But this is a wrong analysis, the growth of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi is due by the fact that some of their goods passes in Tanzania where the route is not long so you can save your money , the ordinary citizen (farmer) , who lives with his crop, can pass without "problem" between these countries to sell and buy with a cheap price, etc.
I think ( correct me if am wrong) that Kenya is not sufficient in his agricultural production , Tanzania is the main exporter with Uganda of Kenya .
So when Tanzania is out, the simplest thing will be done is to reintroduce tax in the border ( price will go up), to reduce the free movement, etc. . And I tell you, believe me or not, this fantastic growth of our lovely "neighbors" will be hard or disappear.
Let's return to EU (biggest economy in the world in term of GDP), when UK (this year) want to pull out of EU , guess the answer of US : " NO, we think that the UK has to be in EU, EU needs UK and UK needs EU". Cameron closes his mouth.
Let's me ask you a question :
Why, suddenly, South Sudan was accepted to be a member of EAC ?
We know that Tanzania was the only country who block the adhesion, but strangely, Tanzania accepted. The answer is simple: Tanzania has been assured by the US and/or EU that they will support the EAC.
Let's analyze the situation in term of time and money :
Who will finance these 2 projects ( railway and pipeline) ?
a) Money
Kenya, the " superpower", NO. Uganda, another "superpower", NO. Rwanda, oh my dear, NO.
But the private sector, they are the only one who can finance the project and believe me, when the EAC breaks out, the enthusiast that bring now the investor in the region will not be the same.
b) Time
How many times will take the project ? (Imagine that the money is not the problem) .
I think it will take 4, 5 or 6 years to finish these projects, so the question is:
Will Tanzania will not do anything ?
The answer is
NO. Believe me (correct me if am wrong) , in 2 or 3 years, when Tanzania decides, the peace we use to hear in Rwanda (maybe in Uganda also) will disappear .
How ? Because those countries have their proper enemy in the region (you understand what i want to say) , a small help of Tanzania will destabilize these countries.
So ? The answer is simple, investors will go out, yes they will go out.
Another legitimate question:
Do you think US and EU will be happy ? Listen to this analysis (
AUDIO | DW.DE ), I will resume, the guy says that what Kenya's president does is: "
michezo ya Watoto " .
UPDATE 2 ( June 26 2013) : am
Military analysis in EAC
Tanzania, for a long time was the "friend" of China ( by the way , Tanzania still the
best friend of China), the structure of its military, weapons was a Chinese or Soviet/Russian made. They used to say Kenya is the ally of the West and us (Tanzanians) are the ally of the East ( Oh no sorry, the ally of China and Soviet) .
So the question is :
Is it true ? The answer is simple:
Yes.
Ok, let's ask another question :
What is the difference between these armies ( Kenya & Tanzania, because there are the superpowers )
?
This question will answered by another question :
Which system these 2 countries adopted after independence ?
When Tanzania get independence, something they do not used to say (when I say "they do not used to say", I mean when "a supposedly analyst" says that Tanzania adopted socialism directly ) that Tanzania has the same system like in Kenya ! Yes, the same system, if you want to say capitalism, it is not a problem, it's up to you .
Which brings me to another question:
Why Tanzania changed the system then ?
Fellow Tanzanians, I think you know the answer :
tribalism . Our Father of the Nation, our
LOVELY MWALIMU NYERERE , and our Ancestors ( all the companions of Tanzania:
Sheikh Karume and so on ) , know the failure of the system adopted earlier by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda : You cannot govern countries like these with a capitalist system when you have 50, 100 or 200 tribes and languages . The result was known: it is a
TOTAL FAILURE .
Let's continue:
How Mwalimu and Compagnons know that the system is a total failure ?
The answer is the "witness year"
1964. Tanzania experienced a
mutiny of some officers in the army . That is the main problem: there is not a unity between us (Tanzanians) ( by the way, the same happened in Kenya in 1982, it is not my problem here) .
So here is the answer of above question :
We must unite whatever is the price to pay. And the system, which was in accordance, was
socialism :
UJAMAA. I won't write the concept of the system but the most important thing to know is that this system brought Tanzanians to unite like one people with one language: Swahili, like any other country in the world : US, France, Germany, China, Japan , etc. Because it is easy to understand, development is easy when you have only one language, you can not go and " colonize" the world with hundred of languages. Am sorry but it is true.
So you will have a legitimate question :
We don't see the link between Ujamaa, Capitalism and armies ?
Right, I understand your question, but it is worth to remember what the Ujamaa and our Tanzanian Army have done in the Ugandan War . I will not talk about the war but of the solidarity between Tanzanians. The ordinary Tanzanians give goat, cows, rice , etc. .
Which bring us to another question :
Time has changed, it is not a goat, rice,... Which determine the winner of a war in this 21th century ?
The answer is :
Absolutely Right . But, but, what Tanzanians have learned is the recruitment of the people serving in the army: Tanzania adopted earlier that the recruitment will be in all the country without to care about your tribe, religion or whatever you want . That is the power of our
JWTZ.
(OK, ok, the recruitment in Kenya I don't know, but in Uganda and Rwanda , it is
tribalism )
Now, I think I have finished answering the second question above (
What is the difference between these armies ? ) .
Let's move now to the strategy adopted by these armies .
First question:
Why AMISOM was sent into Somalia ?
The answer is " simple":
To help Somalis, to restore peace.
Fantastic, we have all the answer. Yes, it is true.
Let me ask a question :
Is Africa was capable to do this alone ?
For me, the answer is
NO. This was the new way of dealing with an African problem, lets put Africans in front and us (maybe US EU) will back them by money, weapons, etc. .
( I will not go into details)
( AMISOM is financed by US and EU)
Which brings us another question:
Is it working ? The answer is absolutely
YES it is working.
So:
Why Kenya intervenes in Somalia ?
The AMISOM in Somalia has done the hard work there ( We have to remember that peace in Somalia was brought mainly by Burundian and Ugandan armies, yes it is true) , the only thing which was missing was a more " advanced and well equipped army" to "try" to "finish" the job done by Burundi and Uganda.
And who does that ? Kenya.
( 1. It is true that Kenya intervene in Somalia because Somalis attack them but, the other reason is that the West push Kenya to do that. It was only an alibi that Somalis attack them.
2. Some say that when Kenya intervene, France and US bombed some strategic points of a rebel so that Kenya can go forward
3. Some say also Israel help Kenya: we have to remember that their prime minister went to Israel to ask help ).
Which brings us another question:
Why not Tanzania in Somalia ?
I will not lie, I don't know the answer. But, but, I salute the decision makes by our politicians/army:
If is to help Somalis, we help everybody whatever the tribe is, and not one or two tribes .( It is not me who says that but Wikileaks, because there is a period when US ask Tanzania to train Somali soldiers, Tanzanian position was simple : we can train your soldiers but we want that everybody is represented and not one or two tribes: The same idea like
UJAMAA, yes, yes, it is true ).
Now the big question :
WHY, SUDDENLY, THESE COUNTRIES SHOW THEIR MUSCLES ?
It is a big question. I let you the answer.
BUT, we have to remember that, 3 or 4 weeks ago, something that we may forget .
ISRAEL
agrees with one of the EASTERN AFRICAN COUNTRY ( maybe South Sudan, Ethiopia, or, or, Kenya and Uganda) to take the charge (to host ) of the African refugees lying in Israel and Israel will help this country to
strengthen its military and to develop its agriculture.
UPDATE 3 SEPT 5, 2013:
You welcome fellow Tanzanians to continue the topic .
Mungu Ibariki Tanzania.
