OPTOMETRIST JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optometry is a profession concerning vision, the practice of which includes the determination and evaluation of the refractive status of the eye. It also includes the detection of the diseases both ocular and systemic and in the selection, design, provision, and adaptation of optical and optically related corrective measures. We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team who will organize the following:
Practice as a primary eye care professional;
Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and ambiance eye diagnostic test;
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining their confidentiality.
Independently perform comprehensive clinical eye examinations including refraction and detection of pathological disorders of the eye and related systems;
Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Diploma in Optometry.
Two (2+) years of verifiable experience as an Optometrist.
Preferred Skills
Proficient in refraction techniques such as retinoscopy and auto-refraction, IOP measurement, fundoscopy, anterior segment examination,
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. (English, Chinese, Swahili e.t.c)
Proficiency with MS Office (Word processing, excel e.t.c)
Excellent organizational and time management.
