[h=3]HOW TO USE USB MODEM ON QSAT DECODER[/h]You must have a 3g usb modem( i recommend huawei for those who are buying it new)
And also try to unlock it to make it universal, so you can switch sim cards whenever you want.


REQUIREMENTS and Steps


You must have at least 30 tp 40% 3g / 3.75g or 4g signal strength in your area( to check this, insert the sim you want to use into a phone and monitor the network coverage bars; If your phone has five stable network bars, you are good to go Use this trick to detect the most stable GSM OPERATOR in your area, if the bars keeps on fluctuating, then your Qsat will not be stable. I support only three to five network bars for uninterrupted viewing pleasure)

You must have an internet enabled sim card with reasonable data bundle
You must have access to a computer of any kind be it desktop or laptop, infact you can use your friend's computer. the process takes less than 20 minutes.
Make sure the little 3g you are having is actually active. In other words, make sure you can browse the internet with your inadequate 3g network connection make sure you test this on your phone or pc before attempting to use this with your decoder.

Steps


Get any modem from any I.T electronic device shop.
just make sure its not a modem that require using a C.D to install it.
First connect the modem to ur PC and install it. Go to the setting of the modem interface and ensure its on 3G.
Pick up ur modem and connect it to the USB port of the decoder.
Go to the network config area on the decoder and select 3G network from that place you select GPRS.
Next click on config and select Auto connect.
Your modem shoukd attempt to connect.


OR


Goto ethernet config and config then press the blue button. if it doesnt work, restart your decoder. Then repeat same process. you should start enjoying your Qsat if you follow the guidelines.


FOR HUAWEI 3G MODEMS:


HOW TO FORCE 3G ON HUAWEI modems. connect your huawei modem to a computer, you don't need internet connection to perform this, but you need to insert an active sim into your modem. Now navigate to Tools>>Options>>Network>>Change Network type to>>WCDMA Only>>then save and exit meaning click OK


FOR ZTE MODEM USERS:


HOW TO FORCE 3G ON A ZTE MODEM
To do this on zte is even easier, all you need to do is to click on Settings>>Preferences>.UMTS/HSPA only.
