New administration under Samia Suluhu gives hope after 5 years of hopelessness

The love of money is the root of all kind of evil including looting of public resources

I fully subscribe to your views. As far as CCM constitution is concerned, she only need to grab the chairmanship gavel to assure herself of the CCM most prized presidential ticket. Whoever flexes his political muscles, she can hastily dismiss him on insubordination grounds from the party like they did to the overambitious Benard Membe.

As far as we are concerned, CCM needs her more than she needs it but she needs voters more than we need her. We have alternatives to her but she cannot replace voters with civil servants like they did in the just concluded 2020 elections where NEC CCM stopped counting the votes and announced the results they wanted. The politics of 2025 will not permit that.

A prudent politician understands the law of demand and supply, and will pander and appease the voters but not her political rivals who are sniffing for an opportunity to derail her 2025 presidential ambition. She must have been thinking about her rivals in the cabinet when she forewarned them during their swearing in ceremony to desist from plotting to gun down the 2025 presidency.

So she need to change tact, and appoint new blood: more youth, women and fellow Zanzibarians in top most jobs. That will be a game changer and will endear herself to the electorate paving her way to reelection without the need to disenfranchise the electorate.

The likes of Mkuchika, PM, Kabudi, Nchemba, the veepstake, Lukuvi among others are not popular with voters but she has voluntarily stuck with them at the expense of jeopardizing her own popularity. Neither of these political deadwood can help her win the 2025 presidency nor can they win their own parliamentary seats unless CCM NEC stop counting the vote and declare them illegally into office. Is this the political terrain littered with booby traps she is opting for? For what....?????

Her mistake so far is the cowardice to strike the iron while it is very hot establishing herself as the sole CCM presidential candidate in 2025 from the word go, and that could have easily been attained through the purge of old guards and incompetent youth.

The opposition leverage in the 2025 is very much on the wane because their popularity in 2020 elections was solely upon the electorate resisting hapakazitu heavy hand on their shoulders. So the 2020 elections was a referendum on heavy tactics of hapakazitu and she is diametrically opposite to him. Depending on how successful she is to neutralize rival camps within CCM her 2025 presidential prospects are in her own sultry hands. If she is wise she can easily secure her political future by purging the deadwood now or she can weaken herself by maintaining the unpopular status quo..
There is no better opportunity to inflict damage to ccm than this time.

With so many ccm camps competing rivalry, this is the time to drive rifts among them. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

But I doubt if the opposition is well organized and disciplined enough to pull it off.

Most have turned into her cheerleader forgetting she's still ccm through and through.

I agree with you about Mkuchika and the rest. They need to go. Shame she's still holding on to them. It's pretty much a proven fact CCM doesn't have a reserve of leadership talent anymore. Most of them are either old, incompetent, self serving, corrupt, uninspiring, and lack ideas either to add value or move the country forward.

Shame that this is what we are stuck with as a country. All because some leader in the 60s decided to put themselves and the party first before the country. So now we are left in this perpetual rut forever with no end in sight.

I'm starting to believe Samia is a trojan horse. No meaningful change will come from her.

And with the way things have been transpiring lately, something sinister is coming.

Or maybe am just speculating.

We really need to start asking if tumeuziwa mbuzi kwenye gunia...

Tujiinamie tumlilie Mungu
Kumlilia Mungu haitoshi. Kunahitajika mkakati maalum lasivyo ccm watazidi kutuendesha mpaka basi.

Wote inabidi tuanze kuimba sauti moja nayo ni katiba mpya. Tusikubali kuambiwa eti tusahau kidogo.

Inahitajika a 'united front', sio siri kila mtu kaichoka ccm.

The opposition is in utter mess they really do not know themselves. They applauded katiba mpya which is a sellout and is no different from the current one.

During dark days of hapakazitu they hid themselves instead of challenging him

Now they are delighted by promises which is in itself very disgusting

The speech of Madam president today has given new hope of abiding to the rule of law and good governance which activists were clamouring for years.

We are beginning to see commitment to the rule of law and good governance after the rights of whistle blower will be restored. No more incitement to be used to clamp down freedom of speech and expression.

Without freedom of speech and expression the fight against official graft is lost even before it started because in opaque graft thrive unimpeded.

We are planning to follow closely the challenges and achievements of this new administration without biasness in the next four years or so.

As usual we will attempt to focus in the rule of law and good governance.
I think it will hold water if Madam President will severely punish those with CAG scams , without this all her efforts will be nonsense for that matter
