ROLE OVERVIEW
TradeSafe Limited is seeking a Logistics Project Development Manager to lead the development, creation, and introduction of innovative logistics solutions. You will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations and coordinating the transportation of parcels and medium-sized cargo from Dar es Salaam to key regions across Tanzania. The role focuses on ensuring timely deliveries, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding our logistics network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Development : Design and implement strategies to expand and improve TradeSafe’s logistics services.
Process Creation: Develop standardized procedures for transportation management, ensuring consistency and reliability across all operations.
Service Introduction: Introduce new services or logistics methods to address evolving client needs and expand operational capacity.
Timely Delivery: Monitor shipments to ensure they arrive on time, using tracking systems to resolve potential delays.
Problem Solving: Address logistical challenges with innovative and adaptable solutions, ensuring optimal performance.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory standards and maintain high safety standards.
Pricing Strategy: Develop cost-effective pricing strategies to offer quality service within budget constraints.
Network Expansion: Build and maintain a reliable network of transportation partners to extend TradeSafe’s operational coverage.
Feasibility Studies: Conduct studies on local logistics practices to identify improvements and optimize operations.
Performance Monitoring: Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and use insights to refine strategies and enhance service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Significant experience in logistics and transportation management, with a proven ability to establish or maintain a network of transportation partners.
Education: Open to graduates of any field, though qualifications in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline are considered an advantage.
Skills:
Ability to develop and introduce effective logistics strategies and solutions.
Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming logistical challenges.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety requirements in Tanzania.
Experience with pricing strategies and financial planning to create cost-efficient operations.
