Port-Louis, Mauritius - The criminal Court in Port-Louis on Wednesday sentenced Tanzanian national Juma Maulid Mohamedi to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking, PANA reported.
Mohamedi was arrested by the police on 29 June 2004 in à Quatre-Bornes, a city located 25kms south of the Mauritian capital, Port Louis, with two bags containing 178 grammes of heroine.
His South African accomplice, Hamza Ndwandwe, was sentenced to a fine of 100,000 rupees (about US$3,700).
